Top 3 Big Name Players Linked With Saudi Arabia Move

Several big names in the world of football have made the move to Saudi Arabia in recent times

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in January. Since then, the likes of Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante and Ruben Neves have followed him to some of the biggest clubs in the country.

The difference to when previous superstars moved to the likes of China and the USA in the past was these players were past their best.

However, with the three aforementioned players still in their peak, their seems to be no limit to the calibre of player that Saudi Arabia could attract, especially with an endless pot of money.

Here’s the next three players that could join Ronaldo and Benzema in the Middle East.

Roberto Firmino

Roberto Firmino is the first name on our list, and he is the next man who is most likely to make the switch after it was announced towards the back end of last term that he would be leaving Liverpool.

The Brazilian forward had a very successful career in the England, finding the back of the net 111 times in 362 games and was part of one of the most dangerous front three’s in recent times, along with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

Neymar

Neymar has been one of the best players in world football over the past decade and is heavily linked with a move to the Saudi League.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Al Hilal, the side that Ruben Neves and Kalidou Koulibaly have both recently signed for.

Reports suggest that Neymar is keen on leaving PSG this summer, but it is not yet clear whether he would prefer to stay in Europe in order to compete at the highest level in the UEFA Champions League.

Hakim Ziyech

Hakim Ziyech is another one of the English Premier League players that has been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League this summer and Chelsea could be keen to offload him.

The Moroccan winger has been far from impressive during his time in England but it is evident that the talent is still there after he helped his nation reach the semi-final of the 2022 World Cup.

With the recent additions that Chelsea have made to their squad, Saudi clubs signing big name players has come at the perfect time because the Blues will need to get rid of some of their highly paid assets in order to abide with financial fair play rulings.
