With the second round of English Premier League fixtures completed, some managers are already feeling the heat and we’re still in August.
There have already been plenty of sides that have looked poor compared to what their faithful might have been hoping for, which has led to speculation that we could already see a change in management.
Don’t forget that you can now bet on the next manager to leave their position in the EPL. Here’s three managers who are already under immense pressure.
Erik ten Hag, Manchester United
Manchester United have invested heavily in the summer transfer window but the board might not be too happy with how their side have performed in the opening two games.
The Manchester side managed to pick up three points on the opening day against Wolverhampton Wanderers, but the visitors might have felt hard done by as they done enough to at least get a point from the game.
Although it is only two games, Mason Mount has not showed any signs that he has settled in well to life at his new club and this could be down to the management of Erik ten Hag.
The Dutch manager had a successful term last season, but from the opening fixtures it looks like they have taken a few steps back with a lacklustre performance and very little game plan in the 2-0 loss against Tottenham Hotspur.
Next manager to leave odds: Erik ten Hag – 50.00
Sean Dyche, Everton
Everton have started the 2023/24 campaign in the worst way possible with two defeats from two games, and it is already very worrying to see the poor performances levels so far.
The Toffees have signed just two players this summer on permanent deals, and it looks like the dated style of play from Sean Dyche might not be enough to keep them in the top flight this season.
Dyche did well to keep Everton in the Premier League last term, but they escaped relegation by the skin of their teeth after finishing above the drop zone by just two points and it could be time up for the English manager, especially after a toothless 4-0 defeat to Aston Villa.
Next manager to leave odds: Sean Dyche – 11.00
Paul Heckingbottom, Sheffield United
Sheffield United were promoted to the Premier League after finishing second in the Championship last term, but have picked up back-to-back losses in their opening fixtures in the top flight.
The Blades have lost last season’s key players Sander Berge and Iliman Ndiaye but midfield replacement Gustavo Hamer already looks impressive. However, more reinforcements will be needed.
The newly promoted side face Manchester City in their next game, so if they go on to lose three on the bounce then Heckingbottom could be under pressure for his job.
Next manager to leave odds: Paul Heckingbottom – 6.00
