The international break is over, and that means one thing – Fantasy Premier League is back!
This weekend the English Premier League plays host to some of the standout fixtures around Europe, with Manchester City leading the way 4 games into the season but many other sides in hot pursuit.
Here are some top tips for your FPL side going into this weekend – make sure you get your transfers made before the deadline!
Pervis Estupiñan to enjoy himself against Manchester United?
Brighton and Hove Albion have played some of the best football in the league over the past year, and the start of this season has been no different. Ecuadorian left back Pervis Estupiñan has been a star performer for them this season, and will look to continue that this weekend.
Estupiñan and Kaoru Mitoma have formed a great partnership on the wing for Brighton and will look to take advantage of United’s defensive fragility and lack of right wing cover in the absence of Antony and Jadon Sancho, who are both unavailable for the foreseeable future.
Despite Antony failing to live up to his potential so far in England he has always provided great defensive work rate in front of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who will have his work cut out. Expect Estupiñan to score big for The Seagulls.
Heung Min-Son and James Maddison – Spurs’ new dynamic duo?
James Maddison was recently announced as the Premier League Player of the Month for August, and shows no signs of slowing down in September. He is already building a strong relationship with Spurs’ captain Heung-Min Son and is already a fixture in many FPL sides.
With Son’s hat-trick against Burnley, his price looks set to increase if he can maintain his form. Ange Postecoglou has the North London side playing excellent football, and you’d be playing a risky game to not include either of these two FPL midfielders in your squad.
Raheem Sterling looks to put Bournemouth to the sword once more
Raheem Sterling will return to action for Chelsea with a point to prove, having been left out of Gareth Southgate’s England squad for their matches against Ukraine and Scotland.
Sterling has an excellent record against Bournemouth, winning all 14 of his matches against them and bagging 11 goals and four assists in the process.
Despite Chelsea’s slow start to the season, this could be a game where the London side find their feet and start to show their potential under Mauricio Pochettino. Sterling will hope to be the main man.
