Despite missing the last month with injury, Maddison’s early performances for Tottenham Hotspur were a delight to watch and one of the reasons why Ange Postecoglu’s side topped the EPL table for large parts of the first half of this year. His return to fitness will be integral to any success that Spurs have this season.
2. Rodri – 7.92
Rodri is widely considered the world’s premier defensive midfielder and his performances this season have lived up to that billing. Manchester City often look lost when the Spaniard isn’t playing and will be keeping their fingers crossed that he stays available for the rest of the season.
