FA Cup Quarter-Finals: Who’s Playing Who & Updated Odds

The fifth round of the FA Cup has come to a close, so we take a deeper look at the quarter-final draw where some exciting matches await.

There were not really any upsets in the fifth round of the competition, with all the big boys such as Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City all making it through to the final eight.

There are some exhilarating clashes in the quarter-final of the FA Cup, with several of the top sides in the English top flight being drawn against each other, all competing for a place at Wembley in the semi-final.

Manchester United v Liverpool

Manchester United will host Liverpool in the quarter-final of the FA Cup, in arguably the best draw of the round because of the rich history between the clubs, and after already winning the EFL Cup, Jurgen Klopp will be keen to push on and win another trophy in his final season in charge.

Chelsea v Leicester City

EFL Championship outfit Leicester City make the trip to Stamford Bridge after they beat English Premier League side AFC Bournemouth in the previous round, so they will have confidence knowing that they can repeat this and beat a side in the top flight to hopefully progress to Wembley in the semis.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Coventry City

Coventry are one of two Championship sides left in the competition, and although they know that beating Wolves will be a tough task, this is arguably one of the nicer draws that the 1987 winners could have got which has left the Sky Blues with a great chance of getting to Wembley.

Manchester City v Newcastle United

Newcastle have been drawn the toughest side possible, the current holders of the FA Cup Manchester City, but with Pep Guardiola’s side in a nail biting title race and still in the UEFA Champions League, it will be interesting to see where the Spanish boss has the FA Cup on his priority list.
