The 2024 Euro group stage has come to an end and there was no shortage of high-quality moments, so we picked out the five best goals scored from the action.
There were some shock results and outstanding games on display throughout the course of the group stage, which has set up nicely for the knockout games which begin on Saturday.
Mert Mulder
Turkey (vs. Georgia)
Mert Mulder opened the scoring for Turkey against Georgia with an emphatic strike, which was one certainly for the volleyed goal purists. The Turkish right-back saw the ball fall perfectly on the edge of the area, and he cannoned an effort into the top right corner.
Roman Yaremchuk
Ukraine (vs. Slovakia)
Ukraine were in need of a win against Slovakia to bolster their chances of making it out the group, and Yaremchuk stepped up to provide a winner in the 80th minute. The Ukrainian number nine received the ball over his head, and all in one movement he touched and finished in fine style past the keeper.
Mattia Zaccagni
Italy (vs. Croatia)
Italy found themselves a goal down heading into added time, before Mattia Zaccagni popped up and notched a 98th minute equaliser to earn his side a hard earned point. Zaccagni received the ball and opened his body up, before he curled an effort into the far corner to leave Dominik Livakovic with no chance.
Nicolae Stanciu
Romania (vs. Ukraine)
Against all odds, Romania topped their group and Stanciu played a crucial role in this after set the tone in the opening game 3-0 victory over Ukraine with the first goal. Stanciu whipped an outstanding effort with his right foot into the top corner, past Real Madrid keeper Andriy Lunin.
Arda Gruler
Turkey (vs. Georgia)
19-year-old wonderkid Arda Gruler scored the goal of the group stage for Turkey when they beat Goergia 3-1, which was an effort that he will remember for years to come. The youngster picked the ball up from 30-yards-out and composed himself before unleashing a speculative effort into the top corner with his left-foot.
