WHERE DO LIVERPOOL PLAY?
Liverpool’s home stadium is the world-famous Anfield, the fifth-largest football stadium in England with a capacity of 60,725.
Despite originally being the home of their bitter rivals Everton between 1884 and 1891, Liverpool claimed the ground as their own when they were formed in 1892.
WHEN WERE LIVERPOOL FOUNDED?
The club were founded after an argument between the Everton committee and the club president and owner of the land at Anfield, John Houlding. As a result, Everton moved to Goodison Park and Houlding established Everton F.C. and Athletic Ground Ltd, eventually being renamed just months later to Liverpool FC in 1892.

The club’s all-time top scorer is Ian Rush with an outstanding 346 goals during his two stints at Liverpool. The striker played for the club between 1980-1986 before leaving for Juventus, but after just a single season he moved back on loan to Liverpool and permanently joined the club again until 1996, leaving the club with 660 total appearances.
WHAT IS LIVERPOOL’S BIGGEST-EVER VICTORY?
Liverpool have a number of breathtaking victories throughout their history, including a 9-0 win against Bournemouth in 2022 and a 7-1 win against Southampton in 1999. However, the biggest of them all came in 1974 when Liverpool beat Stromsgodset 11-0 in the Cup Winner’s Cup.
