As we head into matchday six of the English Premier League, the action is heating up with teams already battling for each position, leaving us what promises to be another thrilling weekend of football.
From early title contenders to clubs battling to climb the table after difficult starts, each match is set to bring its own share of drama. Newcastle United vs Manchester City
Erling Haaland has had a simply sensational start to the 2024/25 season, already sitting on 10 league goals after just five fixtures (the quickest to 10 goals in a single EPL season), scoring in every single game.
The striker has not only found the net in every game so far but has also been the first to score in all but one of his five matches, the exception being when Yoane Wissa netted for Brentford in the first minute. Despite the Gunners having one of the most difficult opening fixture lists of any side, facing Man City, Tottenham, Brighton and Aston Villa already, Arsenal are one of just four teams who remain undefeated in the first five league matches, alongside Man City, Brighton and Nottingham Forest.
Now coming up against one of the newly promoted sides for the first time this campaign, Arsenal will be extremely confident of extending that run with a victory, especially with Leicester struggling so far this term.
With this, as well as Arsenal boasting the home advantage, we expect a comfortable victory for the hosts.

Chelsea vs Brighton
Both of these teams have had strong starts to the 2024/25 English Premier League, Chelsea currently sitting fifth with three wins, one draw and one loss, while Brighton remain undefeated with two wins and three draws to leave them in seventh.
That leaves this game likely to be highly competitive between two sides in great form, and we expect plenty of attacking action with both often vulnerable in defensive areas.
While Chelsea do hold the home advantage, we believe that Brighton will have plenty of goalscoring chances and ultimately secure a narrow victory.

Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur
These two teams have both had difficult starts to the Premier League season, with Man United sitting 11th in the table while Tottenham sit in 10th, only ahead because of a better goal difference.
Man United’s performances have seemingly started to improve in recent outings, while they have also been unlucky to not score more and earn more points, with the Red Devils missing the most big chances of any team in Europe’s top five leagues this term.
We expect them to control possession against a Tottenham side that are more than happy to attack on the counter, and with Spurs often conceding plenty of chances due to Ange Postecoglou’s high defensive line, we believe Man United will finally hit goalscoring form and win this one.
