Real Madrid have won an outstanding 15 Champions Leagues throughout the history of the competition, eight more than the next highest winners AC Milan, who have seven. 

Most Titles Won By A Player

Nacho Fernandez, Dani Carvajal, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Francisco Gento all share the milestone for most titles won with six. 

Remarkably, all five of these players have won all of their six titles with Real Madrid, with the exception of Toni Kroos’s 2013 final victory with Bayern Munich.

Cristiano Ronaldo holds the record for most appearances in the competition, featuring 183 times for Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus between 2003 and 2022, six more than the second highest Iker Casillas, 177.

Top All-Time Goal Scorer

Cristiano Ronaldo also holds the record for most goals in the competition’s history, scoring a breathtaking 140 times in his 177 appearances. 

The second-highest is, unsurprisingly, Lionel Messi, with 129 goals in 163 games in the competition. 

Top All-Time Assister

Ryan Giggs is the all-time top assister, providing 41 assists in his 141 appearances in the competition between 1993 and 2014 for Manchester United. 

Cristiano Ronaldo is involved at the top of the standings yet again, providing 40 assists in his 183 appearances.

Most Goals In A Single Season

Cristiano Ronaldo also holds the record for most goals in a single Champions League campaign when he scored an astonishing 17 times in the 2013/14 Champions League season. 

Most Goals In A Single Match By A Player

The most goals scored in a single match by a player is five, with seven players sharing this record throughout the history of the tournament. 

Paul van Himst, Gerd Muller, Claudio Sulser, Soren Lerby, Lionel Messi, Luiz Adriano and Erling Haaland all share this achievement. 

Most Clean Sheets By A Goalkeeper

Manuel Neuer holds the record for most clean sheets in Champions League history with 58, seven coming with Schalke 04 and 51 with Bayern Munich. 

Biggest Victory In A Match

The biggest win in Champions League history is 8-0, with this scoreline happening on two separate occasions. 

Liverpool defeated Besiktas 8-0 in the group stage in 2007/08 and Real Madrid beat Malmo FF 8-0 in the group stage in 2015/16.

Youngest Goalscorer

Ansu Fati became the youngest player to score in Champions League history when he netted for Barcelona against Inter Milan on 10th December 2019 at the age of 17 years and 40 days.

Oldest Goalscorer

Pepe became the oldest goalscorer in Champions League history when he scored against Shakhtar Donetsk for Porto on 13th December 2023 at the age of 40 years and 289 days.
