When looking at last season’s stats, there has been some major improvements from certain individuals, and we take a look at five of the most improved across Europe so far this term.

Jhon Duran, Aston Villa

Duran has been a real hitman for Aston Villa so far this term, after he has found the back of the net four times in the league and also scored one crucial goal in the Champions League against Bayern Munich.

The Colombian forward is just one goal off levelling his goal tally in the English top-flight last term, in 16 less games which is evidence to how much he has improved.

Ayoze Perez, Villarreal

Perez signed for Villarreal in the summer, and he has taken his game to the next level since his move. He is currently second top goalscorer in La Liga with six goals.

The Spanish forward averages a goal every 69 minutes in La Liga, which is a major improvement on last term where he netted nine times in 31 appearances.

Brennan Johnson, Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur winger Johnson has been on fire for his side in recent times, scoring in seven consecutive games for both club and country.

The Welshman found consistent form hard to come by last term, where he netted just five times in 32 league games. This season he looks like a completely new player.

Omar Marmoush, Eintracht Frankfurt

Egyptian forward Marmoush has taken the limelight away from Harry Kane this term, as he is the top goalscorer in the Bundesliga with eight goals in just six appearances.

Marmoush averages two goal contributions per game in the league, in comparison to last term where he had 18 in 29 appearances.

Bradley Barcola, Paris Saint-Germain

PSG winger Barcola has stepped up to the plate since the departure of Kylian Mbappe, as he is the top goalscorer in Ligue 1 with six goals and averages a goal every 78 mins.

There were talks of the French champions dropping in form after their talisman left for Real Madrid, but with Barcola’s immense form has meant this has not been the case.
