Viktor Gyokeres, Sporting CP
The first name on our list is the highly sought after forward Gyokeres, who played under Amorim during his tenure at Sporting CP.
The Swedish forward has been on fire again this term, where he has netted 26 times in 24 games in all competitions, majority being scored under Amorim. He also has 61 goals for 2024, the most in the world.
The joint top scorers for United this term are Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes with four league goals, so a goal threat should be top of their wish list come January.
Theo Hernandez, AC Milan
United’s first choice left-back, Luke Shaw, has had another campaign riddled with injuries where he has featured just twice in the Premier League, and Amorim might be looking to strengthen that area of the pitch.
Hernandez of Milan, has been rumoured to leave the club in January and he is certainly the calibre of player that will get the fans excited and hopefully take them to the next level.
Ederson, Atalanta
Another position that United need to strengthen is central midfield, with the likes of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen coming towards the latter stages of their career.
Ederson has been a mainstay for Atalanta over the last 18 months, and last term he made 53 appearances in all competitions.
Matteus Cunha, Wolverhampton Wanderers
With the lack of goal threat currently at United, Cunha could be a great option for a more reasonable price than some of the worlds heavy hitters.
The Brazilian forward has impressed this term in a struggling Wolves side, where he has 11 goal contributions in 16 league games, so he might be keen on a move away in a more successful side.
Marc Guehi, Crystal Palace
Amorim has already implemented his three at the back formation at United, and he might be looking for another central defender to bolster his options to accommodate for the clubs new style.
Guehi is out of contract in the summer, and United could go in for him for a slightly reduced fee due to the Eagles not wanting him to leave the club in the summer on a free transfer.
The 24-year-old has impressed for both Palace and England over the past few seasons, and he could be a good long-term option for Amorim’s project at the club.
