International football continues to come thick and fast, with a jam-packed schedule of fixtures set to captivate fans around the globe today. From crucial qualifiers with high stakes to friendlies that promise to provide entertainment, the stage is set for an enthralling day of action.
In this article, we will be taking a closer look at a selection of fixtures set to take place today and picking out our top tips:
Liechtenstein vs Scotland
Scotland have endured a miserable run of results in recent times, winning only three of their last 13 matches, alongside seven defeats and three draws, including a devastating 3-1 loss to Iceland last time out.
While their two matches during this international break are just friendlies, Steve Clarke must improve Scotland’s form ahead of their upcoming World Cup qualifying campaign that starts in September, where they have been drawn in a difficult group alongside Belarus, Denmark and Greece.
While they are in poor form in the lead up to this clash, Liechtenstein have lost all of their last five matches and are certainly the underdogs, leading us to expect a streak-snapping Scotland victory.

Croatia vs Czech Republic
Croatia started their World Cup qualifying campaign with a superb 7-0 victory over Gibraltar, and they will aim to build on that win with a crucial three points against group L’s strongest competitors, Czech Republic.
Czech Republic have won all of their three qualifiers and are unbeaten across all competitions in the last eight games, leaving them full of confidence as they head to Croatia’s home ground for this clash.
However, they have failed to beat Croatia in any of their last three meetings, and given Croatia’s overwhelming quality spread throughout the squad, we believe the hosts will win.
Italy vs Moldova
Italy are in desperate need of a victory after they lost 3-0 to Norway in their opening World Cup qualifier, renewing fears that the prestigious nation will miss out on a third successive tournament.
However, a morale-boosting victory against Moldova could do wonders for their qualifying hopes, and Italy, undeniably the favourites, will certainly aim for a significant victory in this one.
With this in mind, we expect the hosts to create numerous chances for their attacking players, and with Mateo Retegui likely to start and coming off a club season that saw the striker score 28 goals in 49 matches for Atalanta, we believe the forward will score here.
Mateo Retegui to score anytime, 1.60
Moldova have already lost their two qualifiers at this stage, conceding eight and scoring just two in that time, and Italy are clearly the superior side due to the major difference in quality across the two squads.
Furthermore, Italy have won all of their last three meetings across all competitions, scoring nine and conceding only one during those matches, leading us to expect a significant victory here.
Italy to win & over 2.5 goals, 1.33

Belgium vs Wales
Belgium similarly disappointed in their opening World Cup qualifier in group J, conceding an 86th-minute equaliser as they drew 1-1 with North Macedonia, leaving the Red Devils eager to secure their first win against Wales.
Wales will be a tough opponent, give they top the standings with two wins and one draw from three matches, but Belgium are expected to dominate the proceedings and have the quality to create plenty of threat to the Wales defence.
With that, Belgium’s top scorer Romelu Lukaku is expected to lead the line once again, and with two goals in his last four matches, we believe the forward will score once again in this one.
Romelu Lukaku to score anytime, 1.90
As already mentioned, Belgium will be aiming to secure a statement victory against their arguably strongest contenders in group J, and their home advantage could play a major role in helping lead them to a vital victory.
While Belgium’s recent form has been poor, including finishing third in their Nations League group with four defeats from six games and starting their qualifying campaign with a draw, Belgium are still the stronger side thanks to the quality throughout their squad, and we believe that will be enough to help them overcome Wales.
Estonia vs Norway
Alongside Italy in Group I, Norway will also be looking to secure World Cup qualification, aiming to enter the competition for the first time since 1998.
With the likes of Martin Odegaard, Erling Haaland and Alexander Sorloth in their squad, alongside several others, Norway certainly have the talent to secure qualification, and a victory in this one would only help their chances.
While Norway have struggled against Estonia in recent meetings, with one defeat and one draw in their last two clashes, this influx of world-class talent in recent years should help lead them to a comfortable victory.
