The summer window continues to deliver huge headlines – and today’s blog is full of big Nigerian names on the move, and some long-awaited breakthroughs.
Here’s your full round-up:
Osimhen to Galatasaray: It’s Happening
Victor Osimhen is finally set to become a Galatasaray player, with the Turkish champions reaching a £63.5 million agreement with Napoli after weeks of tense negotiations. The deal will be paid in three parts – £34 million upfront and two installments totalling £29.5 million by July 2026.
As part of the agreement, Galatasaray have also accepted a 10% sell-on clause if Osimhen is sold for more than £63.5 million in future. Napoli were insistent on inserting a clause blocking Osimhen from joining another Serie A club, and Gala agreed he won’t be sold to an Italian side until 2027.

Inter and Atalanta to hold Lookman talks
Inter Milan and Atalanta will meet today to try and strike a deal for Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman. Inter’s opening £34 million bid was turned down, with Atalanta holding out for £42.5 million.
Lookman has already agreed personal terms with Inter and rejected a move to Napoli, making it clear he only wants the San Siro switch. Inter are hopeful a slightly improved offer will be enough, especially with Atalanta having promised to let him leave for the right bid last summer.
Ndidi in talks with Man Utd
Wilfred Ndidi is a serious midfield option for Manchester United, with talks underway for the Leicester City star. Ndidi has a £9 million release clause following the Foxes’ relegation and is also attracting interest from Everton, Bayer Leverkusen, Juventus and Real Betis.
Personal terms have been discussed with United, though any deal may depend on player sales. Ndidi made 28 league appearances last season and remains one of Europe’s best ball-winning midfielders.
Iheanacho to Mexico?
Despite rumours linking Kelechi Iheanacho with a shock move to Mexican side Pumas UNAM, sources close to the striker have confirmed no official talks have taken place.
The Super Eagles forward returned to Sevilla this summer after a poor loan spell at Middlesbrough, but is under pressure to find regular minutes ahead of AFCON. For now, he remains with Sevilla, but watch this space.
Arokodare future up in the air
Tolu Arokodare’s future at Genk is uncertain, with head coach Thorsten Fink refusing to confirm if the striker will feature in their league opener vs Club Brugge. The 24-year-old scored 23 goals and assisted seven last season and is wanted by AC Milan, Dortmund, Bayern, and several Premier League clubs.
Genk are open to selling but want a significant transfer fee, and Arokodare himself is reportedly eager to step up to a bigger league.

Chukwueze still with Milan – for now
Samuel Chukwueze has been named in AC Milan’s pre-season tour squad despite strong speculation he could be sold this summer. The Super Eagles winger has struggled to impress since joining from Villarreal and was widely tipped for a move.
However, new Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri wants to assess him up close before making a decision. Fulham are among the interested clubs, with Real Betis, Real Sociedad and Mallorca also monitoring his situation.
Spurs, Newcastle and Liverpool want Zabarnyi
Tottenham are leading the race for Bournemouth’s £59 million-rated defender Illya Zabarnyi, with Paris Saint-Germain also pushing hard. Spurs are preparing a formal offer, while Newcastle and Chelsea are keeping close tabs.
Real Madrid could move for Konaté
Real Madrid are eyeing a summer move for Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konaté, who has just one year left on his deal.
Xabi Alonso’s side could bid around £25m now, or wait to sign the 25-year-old on a free in 2026 – just like they’ve already done with Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Madrid also eye Saliba
Alongside their Konaté pursuit, Real Madrid are also monitoring Arsenal’s William Saliba. The Frenchman is yet to agree a contract extension at the Emirates, and Madrid are ready to make a move if talks break down.
With David Alaba’s injury issues continuing, Madrid are prioritising a long-term centre-back solution. Whether it’s Saliba or Konaté, they’re coming for a top Premier League defender.

Sancho to Juventus almost done
Juventus are closing in on a deal for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho. The two clubs are near agreement on a fee of £21 million plus bonuses, with Juve set to cover part of Sancho’s severance pay as he agrees to a reduced wage.
Man Utd striker shortlist narrowed
Manchester United have narrowed their striker search to three names: Benjamin Sesko (RB Leipzig), Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa), and Nicolas Jackson (Chelsea).
Sesko remains the top long-term target, but Watkins and Jackson are both being considered if a quicker deal is needed.
Bright Ede decision coming soon
Polish side Motor Lublin are set to decide the future of 18-year-old Nigerian defender Bright Ede. Chelsea are among three clubs in the race, alongside another unnamed Premier League team and one of Portugal’s biggest sides.
Motor want over £8.5 million for Ede and won’t agree to a loan-back deal. The club hopes to finalise his destination next week and will prioritise the best development pathway over just the biggest fee.
