5 EPL Transfers That Are Expected To Take Place This Week

With the summer transfer window edging closer toward its finale and the new English Premier League season kicking off later this week, clubs are pushing to finalise the deals that could define their campaign.

From surprise swoops to long running negotiations finally nearing completion, there are plenty of deals that look like they could happen in the coming days.

We look at a number of these potential deals that could take place this week:

Savinho – Manchester City to Tottenham Hotspur

It emerged in the late hours of 10 August that Tottenham Hotspur had approached Manchester City about signing Savinho, and talks have reportedly started between the two clubs.

While Man City are understood to be reluctant to sell the Brazilian winger who only signed for the club last summer, a package in the region of £43.3m is supposedly under discussion between the two clubs.

With Tottenham looking for attacking reinforcements, particularly due to the injuries of James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski, this is a deal that could come together quickly.

Alejandro Garnacho – Manchester United to Chelsea

Garnacho is a member of Manchester United’s so-called ‘bomb squad’, with a number of players training away from the main squad as the club look to offload them.

Chelsea are the team that have shown the most interest in the Argentinian winger, and the club supposedly believe that they can sign Garnacho for less than Man United’s reported £50m asking price.

As the beginning of the Premier League season draws near, Man Utd and Chelsea will be eager to come to an agreement, and this is certainly a deal that could quickly progress in the coming days.

Alexander Isak – Newcastle United to Liverpool

Isak has been training away from the Newcastle United squad as the striker looks to facilitate a move to Liverpool, and the links have heated up once again after Virgil van Dijk stated there is room for another attacking signing following the sales of both Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez.

While the Magpies are reportedly hesitant to allow Isak to leave the club, a suitable offer from the Reds and securing a replacement in the eventuality of his departure could mean a deal happens this week.

Yoane Wissa – Brentford to Newcastle United

The most likely of Newcastle’s Isak replacements is Wissa, who has made his intention to join the Magpies from Brentford extremely clear in the past weeks.

The striker has rejoined training after initially refusing to partake with the Brentford squad, but the striker is reportedly ready to travel to Newcastle as soon as he is given the green light by the club.

Newcastle are reportedly ready to move once again for Wissa, and talks between the two clubs are expected to resume throughout this week.

Dango Ouattara – Bournemouth to Brentford

Brentford have already lost Bryan Mbeumo to Manchester United, and with the potential departure of Wissa to Newcastle, the Bees are looking to sign attacking reinforcements.

The club have supposedly held initial talks with Bournemouth about signing Ouattara, with the discussions understood to have been positive about a deal being agreed for the 23-year-old’s signature.

The forward has also made it clear to the Bournemouth hierarchy that he is open to exploring his options this summer, and that all points to the move looking likely to take place this week.
