The season starts across Europe and it’s time to dive into the options & pick the best games.

The selections for the weekend are below!

Spurs vs Burnley

Thomas Frank takes charge of his first league game as Tottenham manager and knows serious improvements are needed following their 17th-place finish last season.

Spurs have only ever lost once at home on the opening day in the Premier League & that’s a big one for them.

The Clarets won just five games under Vincent Kompany two years ago and have only managed five wins from their last 38 top-flight away matches.

PREDICTION: Spurs to win at 1.42

Monaco vs Le Havre

Monaco were impressive last season finishing third & qualifying for the Champions League.

After a tense survival battle, Le Havre escaped relegation in spectacular fashion, securing 15th place with a stoppage-time penalty on the final day.

With Pogba signing & other key players by Monaco, they should start the season with a win.

PREDICTION: Monaco to win at 1.40

Nice vs Toulouse

Nice enjoyed a superb 2024–25 Ligue 1 campaign, finishing fourth to secure Europa League football under the guidance of Franck Haise.

Toulouse FC ended last season in 10th place, comfortably clear of relegation trouble but falling short of the European qualification spots.

It was tough game for Nice last season.

PREDICTION: Nice to win either half at 1.59

Sporting CP vs Arouca

Sporting beat Casa Pia 2-0 in their first game of the 2025/26 season, responding in the best possible way to their defeat in the Super Cup against rivals Benfica.

Arouca’s excellent start to the game gave them their first win of the season against AFS.

The hosts have already been warned of what their next opponent is capable of, so they’re unlikely to be surprised. An home win is expected.

Celta Vigo wrapped up the 2024-25 La Liga season in seventh place, earning a return to the Europa League after a nine-year absence.

Getafe secured a 13th-place finish, confirming their survival in La Liga with a solid ending under Jose Bordalas.

PREDICTION: Celta Vigo to win either half at 1.42

Lens vs Lyon
