The rise of artificial intelligence (AI) in recent years has started to change and evolve how we look at football, with scouting, recruitment, in-game tactics, injury prevention, data analysis and more all being influenced by AI.
Fans and pundits have also taken to AI to help with predictions, using models to help predict match outcomes, goal scorers, league standings and even individual awards.
In this article, we will be doing exactly that, as we asked for AI’s predictions for the 2025/26 English Premier League season:
Premier League Winner – Liverpool
AI predicted Liverpool to reclaim their title, as they have strengthened their dominant side from 2024/25 with several signings, including the likes of Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike and Jeremie Frimpong.
Champions League Places – Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea
Arsenal are predicted to fight for the title after being bolstered by the signing of Viktor Gyokeres, but AI believes the Gunners will finish second.
AI went on to predict Manchester City to finish third, with it saying that despite being in a rebuilding phase, they are still expected to remain in contention thanks to the quality of the likes of Erling Haaland.
Finally, AI predict Chelsea to be dark horses for the Premier League title, especially after their Conference League and Club World Cup success, but they are ultimately expected to finish fourth.
Relegated Teams – Burnley, Sunderland, Leeds United
AI predicted Burnley to finish at the bottom of the Premier League due to being the bookmakers’ favourites for the drop, while they have also lost key players from their Championship campaign.
Sunderland are also predicted to go straight back down, while fellow newly-promoted Leeds United make up the final relegated side in AI’s predictions.
Top Scorer – Erling Haaland
AI predicts Haaland to reclaim his crown of being Premier League top scorer, with Man City’s attacking reinforcements helping him record a greater goal tally this season.
Top Assister – Mohamed Salah
AI has predicted Liverpool’s Egyptian King to finish as the top assister, saying that Salah has consistently broken records and is expected to be in top form once again this campaign.

Surprise Package – Everton
AI predicted David Moyes’s side to be the surprise package of the season, saying that Everton had a resurgence following the return of the Scottish manager in 2024/25, and with a full pre-season, new signings and first season at their newly constructed Hill Dickinson Stadium, they could compete for the European places.
Player of the Season – Mohamed Salah
AI predicts Salah to finish as the Premier League Player of the Season for the second year running, with the Egyptian expected to continue his consistent performances in 2025/26.
Young Player of the Season – Myles Lewis-Skelly
Lewis-Skelly had a breakout campaign in 2024/25, and with the left-back expected to become a consistent starter for Arsenal in 2025/26, AI has predicted the English youngster to be this season’s best young player.
Manager of the Season – Arne Slot
Slot’s tactical acumen and leadership were on full display as Liverpool won the title in 2024/25, and with the Reds predicted to win the league title once again this season, AI have also selected Slot as their Manager of the Season.
