The first week of the new campaign brought us good tidings, as we cashed in on 5/5 of our picks to start the season with a bang.
We are excited and hoping for more of the same this weekend, and the goal remains to deliver well-researched goalscorer tips for our Bet9ja community.
We have the full complement of the top five leagues to choose from this weekend, and here are our five goalscorer picks.
Ousmane Dembele vs Angers
This should be a straightforward win for PSG, but it is unlikely to be a goal-fest, as Angers rarely lose heavily away from home. They finished just three points clear of relegation last season but only conceded 20 goals in 17 away trips.
Nevertheless, PSG should have more than enough to win. Ousmane Dembele featured as a substitute against Nantes in the champions’ season opener after the UEFA Super Cup final, but he should return to the starting XI this week.
The French forward scored 21 goals in 29 Ligue 1 games last season and is our pick to score anytime in this one.
Dembele to score anytime @1.60
Raphinha vs Levante
Barcelona kicked off their La Liga season with a commanding 3-0 victory over Mallorca, building on their red-hot pre-season form where they registered 20 goals in just four games. The reigning champions are clearly fired up to defend their title, and they should have no trouble dispatching Levante, a side they’ve beaten four of their last five meetings.
Our pick to find the net again is Raphinha, who delivered as our predicted scorer in the season opener. The Brazilian is in fantastic form, and with Barcelona’s team packed with the creativity of Lamine Yamal, Pedri, and Dani Olmo, expect plenty of goal-scoring chances for Raphinha to pounce on.

Serhou Guirassy vs St Pauli
Borussia Dortmund are desperate for a strong start to their Bundesliga campaign after last season’s fourth-place finish.
St. Pauli, gearing up for their second season in the Bundesliga post-promotion, should be no match on paper, but anything can happen in football. Dortmund should feel confident, though, as they’ve dominated this fixture, winning 11 of the last 12 Bundesliga meetings between both sides.
Our pick to score anytime is star forward Serhou Guirassy. The Guinean striker netted 38 goals across all competitions for Niko Kovac’s side last season and should have plenty of chances to put St. Pauli to the sword this weekend.
Guirassy to score anytime plus @1.76
Kylian Mbappe vs Real Oviedo
Real Madrid kicked off their LaLiga campaign with an underwhelming 1-0 win over Osasuna, and while it wasn’t a sparkling performance, Xabi Alonso will be thrilled to secure his first league victory as manager.
Star player Kylian Mbappe continued his red-hot form from last season, scored the game’s only goal and was easily Real’s most dangerous player.
Los Blancos face newly promoted Real Oviedo this weekend, and it’s hard to see anything but a big win for Alonso’s side. Oviedo were fortunate to escape with just a two-goal defeat in their opener against Villarreal, and we expect Mbappé to spearhead a relentless attack for the visitors, likely leading to a heavy scoreline.
Mbappe to score anytime @1.80
Vangelis Pavlidis vs Tondela
Benfica are heavy favourites to make light work of new boys Tondela at home this weekend, and we could witness a huge scoreline.
The hosts haven’t lost in the league since January of this year and have won eight of the nine meetings between both sides, with the only defeat in that spell coming back in 2018. Benfica should win this comfortably, and their star striker, Vangelis Pavlidis, is our pick to score this weekend.
The Greek forward netted 30 goals last season, and his impact will be crucial for their hopes of winning the league.
Pavlidis to score anytime @1.85
