The international break was a goal-fest, and we hope that trend continues as club football returns this weekend.
As usual, we have five well-researched goalscorer picks to help you make the most of the football weekend.
Joao Pedro vs Brentford
This has been a tricky fixture for Chelsea in recent seasons, as they have failed to win away at Brentford in their last three visits.
However, Enzo Maresca’s men are in fine form, winning two of their opening three league matches, and that unbeaten start should fill the Blues with confidence.
While we expect this to be close, Chelsea has the edge in quality and depth. They should be able to overcome any post-international break fatigue to secure a win.
Our goalscorer pick is Joao Pedro. The Brazilian has been an inspired signing for Chelsea, with five goals in six games since joining from Brighton.
Joao Pedro to score anytime @2.50
Serhou Guirassy vs Heidenheim
Heidenheim have lost to Dortmund in each of their last four meetings, and there is no reason to see this one going any other way.
They have also conceded two or more goals in 13 of their last 18 home games across all competitions, making this a potentially high-scoring game. Regardless of the result, our goalscorer pick is Serhou Guirassy.
The Guinea international has scored 18 league goals so far in 2025, including a goal in each of his last seven Bundesliga matches for Dortmund.
Guirassy to score anytime @1.75
Lamine Yamal vs Valencia
Barcelona host Valencia this weekend, looking to get back to winning ways after a 1-1 draw with Rayo Vallecano just before the international break. Hansi Flick’s men already trail Real Madrid by two points and will be eager to avoid increasing that deficit.
On paper, this is a good game for the hosts, as recent history is on their side, with ten wins in their last 16 meetings against Valencia, including a thumping 7-1 victory the last time Valencia visited. Our value bet for a goalscorer here is Lamine Yamal.
The 18-year-old has added goals to his game and taken over the mantle of penalty-taker in Robert Lewandowski’s absence, boosting his chances of scoring again this weekend.
Yamal to score anytime @2.30

Mohamed Salah vs Burnley
This may not be as straightforward for Liverpool as many expect. Burnley have lost only one of their last six top-flight home games by more than one goal and could keep this clash close for long periods.
Liverpool will have many players returning from international duty at different times this week, which may hinder Arne Slot’s preparations for this tricky Turf Moor trip.
However, the Reds have a far superior squad and should extend their 100% record. Mohamed Salah is our pick to score anytime. The Egyptian may have scored just once this season, but it’s never wise to bet against last season’s Golden Boot winner.
Salah to score anytime @2.00
Michael Olise vs Hamburg
Many will expect an absolute mismatch here as a rampant Bayern Munich, who have scored nine times in two league games, welcome newly promoted and scoreless Hamburg to the Allianz Arena.
Vincent Kompany’s men have scored three or more goals in 13 of their last 16 home league games, and this game should follow a similar pattern.
We have avoided the temptation to go for Harry Kane as our goalscorer pick and instead opt for the prolific Michael Olise.
The 23-year-old finished last season with 20 goals across all competitions and has started the new season with four goals in four games.
Olise to score anytime @2.00
