Tuesday: Newcastle vs Benfica

Newcastle’s Champions League return is starting to take shape after their 4-0 win away to Union Saint-Gilloise on Matchday 2 – their biggest ever victory in the competition proper. Now they welcome Benfica, looking for back-to-back group-stage wins for the first time since 2003.

Anthony Gordon has scored three goals in his last two UCL appearances and could become the first Magpies player to net in three straight games.

Benfica, meanwhile, are desperate for a turnaround. They’ve lost four consecutive matches in the competition and haven’t beaten English opposition in 11 Champions League meetings since 2006.

It’s advantage Newcastle at St. James’ Park.

Tuesday: Bayer Leverkusen vs Paris Saint-Germain

The German champions host PSG in one of the week’s most fascinating ties.
Leverkusen are unbeaten in their last five European games against French teams and have lost only once in their last 17 UEFA home fixtures.

But PSG arrive in strong form, winning 12 of their last 14 Champions League matches. Teenage midfielders Warren Zaïre-Emery and Senny Mayulu continue to impress — the latter scoring three goals in his last four UCL outings.

Leverkusen’s attacking style meets PSG’s star power. Expect fireworks.

Tuesday: Arsenal vs Atlético Madrid

Arsenal have been dominant at home in Europe – 14 straight group-stage wins and 11 in a row without conceding. They’ve also won six consecutive Champions League matches against Spanish sides.

Bukayo Saka continues to shine, with 11 goals in his first 19 appearances in the competition. A win here would be Arsenal’s 100th in the Champions League proper.

Atlético Madrid, on the other hand, have struggled against English opposition (no wins in nine group-stage meetings). Still, Diego Simeone’s side rarely go down without a fight.

Wednesday: Galatasaray vs Bodø/Glimt (5:45pm)

Victor Osimhen’s Galatasaray are in red-hot form at home, unbeaten in their last 29 matches in all competitions.

The Turkish champions have failed to score in just one of their last 23 European home games.

Bodø/Glimt, though, are no pushovers. The Norwegian side have scored two or more goals in ten of their last 14 continental matches and are unbeaten in five, including a 2-2 draw in matchday 2 with Tottenham.

Expect goals, noise, and plenty of Osimhen watch-time.

Wednesday: Real Madrid vs Juventus

A true Champions League classic.

Real Madrid and Juventus meet for the 22nd time in UEFA competition, with Los Blancos holding a narrow edge (10 wins to Juve’s nine).

Madrid have dominated Italian sides in recent years, winning 18 of their last 20 meetings, while Juventus have lost only one of their past eight group-stage games against Spanish teams.

Kylian Mbappé could make history as the youngest player ever to reach 90 appearances in the Champions League proper – breaking Raúl’s record.

Big names, big stakes, and a fixture that rarely disappoints.

Wednesday: Eintracht Frankfurt vs Liverpool

Liverpool travel to Germany desperate to stop the rot after a miserable run of results. The Reds have lost four games in a row in all competitions for the first time since 2014 – including a defeat to Galatasaray on Matchday 2 – and now face a tough test against an in-form Frankfurt side.

Frankfurt have turned their home ground into a fortress, losing just one of their last ten European home matches and winning four straight. They rarely draw blanks either, only one of their last 67 European fixtures has finished goalless.

For Liverpool, the challenge is clear: rediscover their rhythm and get back on track. Mohamed Salah needs just two goals to reach 50 in the competition, which would make him the first African player to achieve the milestone – and Arne Slot will be hoping his star man can spark a much-needed revival.

Matchday 3 is packed with value across Europe’s biggest fixtures. Bet on all the midweek action now on Bet9ja!
