Erling Haaland vs Leeds
Manchester City suffered a shock 2-0 defeat at home to Bayer Leverkusen in midweek. However, after the rotation in midweek, the big stars should be back in action this weekend against struggling Leeds.
That midweek defeat was City’s second successive loss, but they have won seven of their last eight at the Etihad and have scored at least three times in four of their last five league games here. We are backing Erling Haaland to return to scoring form and add to his 14 league goals this season.
Haaland to score anytime @1.50
Kylian Mbappe vs Girona
Real Madrid are away to Girona this weekend, and after last weekend’s draw against Elche, they cannot afford another slip-up in the league, with Barcelona now just one point off.
However, the form of Kylian Mbappe means Los Blancos enter almost every game as favourites, and he demonstrated his goalscoring brilliance with 4 strikes in the midweek win over Olympiacos, taking his tally for the season to 22 goals in 18 games.
Real have won their last 4 games against Girona without conceding a single goal, and this should be another comfortable win.
Mbappe to score anytime @1.55
Igor Thiago vs Burnley
Brentford have lost just once at home this season and will be bitterly disappointed after losing 2-1 to Brighton last weekend, despite taking the lead and dominating most of the game. They will have the chance to return to winning ways against Burnley this weekend, a side that has lost 5 of their 6 away games in the league this season.
One man who has been in stunning form and is the catalyst for Brentford’s strong home form is striker Igor Thiago. His tally of 9 league goals puts him behind Erling Haaland in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot, and we are backing him to extend his run of 5 goals in 5 games.
Igor Thiago to score anytime @2.00
Mason Greenwood vs Toulouse
Marseille look fully equipped to challenge for titles this season, and their midweek win over Newcastle was their 9th win in 13 games. They have also lost just once in Ligue 1 this term and are just two points off leaders PSG, laying the framework for an exciting title race.
Several players have contributed significantly to their excellent form, but Mason Greenwood has been firing on all cylinders, especially in Ligue 1.
No player in France has scored more goals (10) or had more shots (38) than Greenwood this season, and we are backing him to add to that tally this weekend.
Greenwood to score anytime @2.35
Michael Olise vs St. Pauli
Bayern Munich suffered their first defeat of the season against Arsenal in the Champions League in midweek and will be eager to return to winning ways when they host struggling St. Pauli this weekend.
Vincent Kompany’s men are on course to break an outrageous Bundesliga record, as scoring at least twice here will see them hit 20 consecutive league games, scoring 2+ goals. St. Pauli have lost their last 7 games and will likely be blown away by the champions. Our goalscorer pick is Michael Olise. The France international has contributed 12 goals and assists in 11 league games this season and scored twice in last weekend’s 6-2 win over Freiburg.
Olise to score anytime @2.15
