It was another eventful night for Nigerian footballers across Europe on Tuesday, with several Super Eagles stars making decisive contributions for their clubs.
From decisive assists to important goals, several Nigerian players played influential roles as domestic and cup competitions continued across the continent.
England
Tolu Arokodare made a big impact off the bench as Wolverhampton Wanderers secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Liverpool at Molineux.
The Nigerian striker was introduced just after the hour mark and needed only 18 minutes to influence the match. After excellent hold-up play from a long ball, Arokodare produced a clever assist for Rodrigo Gomes, who finished confidently past Alisson Becker to give Wolves the lead.
Mohamed Salah briefly brought Liverpool level five minutes later, but André struck late to seal the win for the hosts. While Arokodare did not score himself, his contribution in attack proved decisive.

Ademola Lookman featured for Atletico Madrid in their Copa del Rey semi-final second leg against Barcelona at the Camp Nou.
Despite losing 3-0 on the night, Atletico progressed to the final thanks to their dominant 4-0 victory in the first leg. Barcelona pushed hard for a historic comeback and created several chances to level the aggregate score, but Diego Simeone’s side held firm.
For Lookman, it means a chance to compete for silverware as Atletico reach their first Copa del Rey final in 13 years.

Turkey
Paul Onuachu continued his impressive scoring form for Trabzonspor in their Turkish Cup clash against Istanbul Basaksehir.
Initially left on the bench, the Nigerian striker was introduced just before his side fell behind and immediately changed the momentum of the match. Onuachu scored a spectacular goal to give Trabzonspor a 3-2 lead before Ozan Tufan added another to wrap up a 4-2 victory.
His ability to influence matches from the bench has become a major weapon for the Black Sea Storm this season.
Czech Republic
Igoh Ogbu returned from injury for Slavia Prague in their Czech Cup tie against FK Jablonec.
The Nigerian centre-back played more than 105 minutes, helping stabilise Slavia’s defence in a tense encounter that finished 1-1 after normal time. The match eventually went to penalties, where Slavia were beaten 3-2.
