The World Cup group stage has been electrifying, full of big moments and big goals. As we enter the final round of the group stage, here are our goalscorer picks for this weekend.

Cody Gakpo vs Tunisia

Tunisia have failed to score in four of their last five matches and have conceded 9 goals in their last two games, despite changing their manager in the middle of the World Cup.

Their wretched form makes it almost impossible to see them stopping the red-hot Netherlands here, especially with such a porous defence. This should be a high-scoring affair, and we can expect some of the usual suspects to find the net.

Key Stat: Cody Gakpo has bagged four goals in his last three games for Netherlands.

Pick: Gakpo to score anytime @2.05

Kylian Mbappe vs Norway

France have scored three goals in four of their last five games, including their first two games of the World Cup, which makes a repeat highly likely.

Norway will be no pushovers, especially with Erling Haaland. They carry plenty of threat of their own, so a high-scoring game could be on display here.

However, Kylian Mbappe looks slightly more likely than Haaland to add to his tally as he continues to chase Lionel Messi’s World Cup record.

Key Stat: Mbappe has four goals in two World Cup games.

Pick: Mbappe to score anytime @2.00

Ismaila Sarr vs Iraq

Senegal face Iraq in the final round of group stage matches, knowing that only a win will give them a chance of qualifying for the next round.

The Lions of Teranga have shown encouraging signs in their two games so far, despite ultimately losing to France and Norway. Iraq have conceded 7 goals in just 2 games, and Senegal’s attack of Ismaila Sarr, Sadio Mane and Nicolas Jackson will certainly be licking their lips.

Key Stat: Ismaila Sarr has scored 6 goals in his last 10 games.

Pick: Sarr to score anytime @3.00

Julian Alvarez vs Jordan

Argentina may not be at full strength, but they should still have enough to put away Jordan in their final group fixture.

Jordan have not been terrible, but they simply lack what it takes to defend against elite teams at this level.

Argentina should win this comfortably, even without their talisman Lionel Messi, who already has 5 goals in just two games.

Key Stat: Julian Alvarez has 4 goals in his last 5 starts.

Pick: Alvarez to score anytime @2.00

Harry Kane vs Panama

This should be a straightforward game for England, but as we saw against Ghana, nothing is guaranteed.

Thomas Tuchel’s men looked very good against Croatia but then struggled badly against Ghana, which makes it impossible to predict just how this one will go.

Tuchel could make some changes but expect Harry Kane to start and be motivated to put his poor performance against Ghana behind him.

Key Stat: Kane has scored in 13 of his last 16 games for club and country.
