Arsenal finally brought an end to their 22-year wait for the English Premier League title in 2025/26, with Mikel Arteta’s side claiming the title with 85 points from 38 games, seven more than runners-up Manchester City.
The Gunners came excruciatingly close to adding their first-ever Champions League trophy to their cabinet at the end of the campaign, devastatingly losing 4-3 on penalties to Paris Saint-Germain following a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes.
Arteta and Arsenal’s sights will now be firmly set on securing a second straight English Premier League title and going one step further in the Champions League, with dreams of lifting the trophy for the first time in the club’s history.
Consequently, the Gunners are certain to be active in the summer transfer window, and here, Bet9ja look at five players linked to Arsenal that will arrive at the Emirates Stadium during the summer transfer window:
Illan Meslier (Free Agent)
Starting with the least glamorous move of the window, Illan Meslier is understood to be on Arsenal’s transfer shortlist in the case of a potential Kepa Arrizabalaga departure.
The Spaniard is understood to be open to moving away from the Emirates to become a number one at a different club, which would leave Arsenal without a recognised number two in their squad.
If Arrizabalaga does ultimately depart the club, it has been reported by Sky Sports News that Arsenal would potentially look to bring Meslier to the club, which would be a free signing following the expiration of the goalkeeper’s contract at Leeds United.
Alex Scott (Bournemouth)
Arsenal have been linked with a host of midfielders already this summer, and Sky Sports News have reported that Bournemouth’s Alex Scott is one of the main targets to bolster their squad.
Scott enjoyed a hugely impressive season with Bournemouth in 2025/26, helping the Cherries finish sixth in the English Premier League and qualify for European competition for the first time in their history.
Scott’s quality on the ball has never been in doubt, boasting a superb ability to drive forwards thanks to his tight control and quick burst, and his quality out-of-possession significantly improved throughout the last campaign.
Consequently, Scott would certainly align with Arsenal’s defensive structure while also offering new solutions in the final third, and this is a move that could certainly happen in the coming weeks.
Bruno Guimaraes (Newcastle United)
Another midfielder boasting quality at both ends of the pitch, Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimaraes has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium already this summer.
Sky Sports News reported in late June that Arsenal had officially explored the conditions of a deal for Guimaraes via intermediaries with Newcastle United, though the Magpies are reportedly unwilling to sell their star midfielder.
However, if Arsenal can come up with the right price for the Brazilian, then Newcastle United may be forced to sell to the English Premier League champions, and we could certainly see this one happening before the end of the transfer window.
Jeremy Monga (Leicester City)
Alongside a considerable focus on strengthening the midfield department, Arsenal also appear to be looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The Gunners may have enjoyed great success last season but it was clear that their biggest weakness was in the final third, often struggling to break teams down and relying greatly on set-pieces and crosses into the box.
As a result, Arsenal have been linked with numerous creative players, including Leicester City’s promising young winger Jeremy Monga.
Sky Sports News have reported that Arsenal would be Monga’s dream destination, while talks regarding a potential deal have supposedly already started with Leicester City, who were relegated to League One at the end of 2025/26.
Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa)
Another option in the final third would be Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, who would offer Arteta a creative option in midfield or from either flank.
Aston Villa are reportedly looking for a considerable fee for the talented England international, with reports that the club value Rogers as high as £120m+, but Arsenal may still make a move for the 23-year-old.
