Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made their move for Victor Osimhen, with the Nigerian striker open to joining the Premier League club this summer.
Osimhen has been linked with a move to England for several years, but Spurs now appear ready to make a serious push for the Galatasaray forward as Roberto De Zerbi looks to add another major name to his new-look squad.
Reports suggest Tottenham have already made an opening offer worth between £50 million and £55 million, with Galatasaray believed to want closer to £65 million for the Super Eagles star.

Osimhen Open to Tottenham Move
One of the biggest developments is that Osimhen is reportedly open to joining Spurs.
Personal terms are not expected to present a major obstacle should Tottenham and Galatasaray reach an agreement, with the 27-year-old keen on the possibility of playing in the Premier League.
Osimhen has regularly been linked with English clubs in recent years. Chelsea came particularly close to securing his signature two summers ago before negotiations eventually collapsed, while Manchester United have also been credited with an interest.
Now, Tottenham could jump ahead of the competition.
Spurs Make Opening Osimhen Bid
According to reports, Tottenham’s opening proposal for Osimhen is worth around £50m-£55m.
That currently falls short of Galatasaray’s reported £65m valuation, meaning further negotiations would be required to get a deal over the line.
However, the relatively small gap between the two valuations could encourage Spurs, particularly given their willingness to spend heavily this summer.
Tottenham have already invested more than £230m on new players, with Sandro Tonali, Matheus Fernandes, Jan Paul van Hecke, Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Martin Dubravka among those arriving in North London.
Landing Osimhen would arguably be their biggest statement yet.
De Zerbi Wants Another Forward
Despite their considerable spending, Tottenham’s summer business is not finished.
De Zerbi has made strengthening his attack one of his remaining priorities, saying recently that Spurs want to “complete the attacking positions” with another couple of important additions.
Osimhen would certainly fit that description.
Spurs already have Dominic Solanke available through the middle, but uncertainty remains around Richarlison’s future. De Zerbi has praised the Brazilian’s quality and attitude while acknowledging that the club must also respect what the player wants to do.
Tottenham have also been linked with Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo and Manchester City’s Savinho, but the emergence of Osimhen as a target could significantly change their plans.
Could Osimhen Finally Reach the Premier League?
Osimhen’s goalscoring ability has made him one of European football’s most sought-after forwards, and speculation surrounding a Premier League move has followed him for years.
This time, Tottenham appear to have put themselves firmly into the conversation.
Former Spurs midfielder Jamie Redknapp has already praised the club for “behaving like a big club” during the transfer window following their ambitious recruitment under De Zerbi.
Adding one of Africa’s biggest football stars to an already expensive rebuild would only strengthen that feeling.
There is still work to be done. Galatasaray are not prepared to let Osimhen leave cheaply, while Chelsea, Manchester United and Atlético Madrid are also reported to be monitoring his situation.
But with Osimhen reportedly open to the move and Tottenham making an initial approach, this could quickly become one of the biggest transfer stories involving a Super Eagles player this summer.
