15:31 – Brighton agree £15m deal for Femi Azeez

The Seagulls will pay an initial £12.5m, with add-ons potentially taking the deal beyond £15m and making Azeez Millwall’s record sale.

The 25-year-old earned a place in last season’s PFA Championship Team of the Year after registering 11 goals and eight assists in 37 appearances.

15:01 – Newcastle sign Fernandez-Pardo for £51.4m

Newcastle United have completed the signing of Matias Fernandez-Pardo from Lille for an initial £51.4m.

The 21-year-old forward has signed a long-term contract at St James’ Park and will wear the number 20 shirt.

Fernandez-Pardo had been left out of Lille’s squad for their 2-2 draw with PSG last week and was training away from the first team as his future was resolved.

14:45 – Palace attempt to hijack Fofana deal

There’s a Deadline Day battle developing for Malick Fofana.

The Lyon winger had agreed to join Sunderland in a deal worth around €35m, but Crystal Palace have now made a proposal of their own.

The decision is now with the player as both Premier League clubs wait to discover where he will end up.

14:30 – Crystal Palace make late move for Kaishu Sano

Crystal Palace are looking to add another midfielder before tonight’s deadline, with talks opened over a potential £30m move for Mainz’s Kaishu Sano.

The Japan international has emerged as another late target for Palace as they look to strengthen their squad before the window closes.

14:00 – Harvey Elliott expected to join Valencia

Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott is expected to join Valencia on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Aston Villa and is now closing in on another temporary move away from Anfield.

Elliott is still to undergo his medical, with the proposed agreement not expected to contain an option or obligation for Valencia to make the move permanent.

13:30 – Everton turn to former target Maitland-Niles

Could a five-year transfer pursuit finally be coming to an end?

Everton have turned their attention to Lyon right-back Ainsley Maitland-Niles, having previously attempted to sign him from Arsenal on Deadline Day back in 2021.

The former Arsenal man eventually remained in north London before later spells with Roma and Lyon, but Everton could now finally get their man.

13:00 – Fulham agree TWO deals

Fulham are closing in on a Deadline Day double.

The Cottagers have agreed a €25m deal for Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Hugo Larsson, while an agreement has also been reached to sign Manuel Angel from Real Madrid for an undisclosed fee.

Both players have permission to undergo medicals.

Angel would become the third player to follow Fulham boss Alvaro Arbeloa from his former club Real Madrid, after Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios.

12:30 – Chelsea agree £40m Ahanor deal

Chelsea have agreed a deal worth up to £40m for Atalanta teenager Honest Ahanor, although the defender will not immediately move to Stamford Bridge.

The 18-year-old Italy international is set to spend the remainder of this season on loan at Crystal Palace before joining Chelsea next summer.

Premier League and EFL clubs have until 23:00 BST tonight to complete their transfers.

Deadlines differ across Europe’s major leagues:

Ligue 1: 18:59 BST
Serie A: 19:00 BST
Bundesliga: 19:00 BST
La Liga: 22:59 BST
Premier League & EFL: 23:00 BST
Saudi Pro League: Sunday 6 September

That means some potential moves involving European clubs will need to be completed well before the English deadline.

What Is a Premier League Deal Sheet?

Even when the 23:00 deadline arrives, there can still be some late drama.

Premier League clubs can submit a deal sheet from 21:00 BST if they have reached an agreement but need additional time to complete the remaining documentation.

The deal sheet itself must still be submitted before the 23:00 deadline.

It is one of the reasons confirmed transfers can continue to emerge after the window has officially closed.
