The transfer window is closed, the spending is done and Premier League squads are finally set for the season ahead.
It was another extraordinary summer, with clubs spending more than £3.3bn and several of the league’s biggest names completely reshaping their squads.
But who smashed the window, and who will already be regretting their business?
We’ve ranked all 20 Premier League clubs from best to worst, giving every team a transfer window rating out of 10.
1. Chelsea — 8.5/10
Key Ins: Morgan Rogers (£117m), Maxence Lacroix (£52m), Marco Palestra (£47m), Emi Martinez (£7.5m)
Key Outs: Enzo Fernandez (£125m), Marc Cucurella (£52m), Andrey Santos (£50m), Nicolas Jackson (£47.5m)
Chelsea somehow managed another enormous overhaul while actually recouping huge fees through sales. Rogers joining Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro is particularly exciting, while Martinez and Lacroix strengthen problem areas. Missing out on Lamine Camara on deadline day is the major frustration.
2. Brentford — 8/10
Key Ins: Mamadou Sangare (£39m), El Hadji Malick Diouf (£35m), Jaidon Anthony (£15m), Callum Wilson (free)
Key Outs: Ethan Pinnock (£6m), Jordan Henderson (free)
Another very Brentford window. Club-record signing Sangare already looks an inspired addition, Diouf adds quality on the left and they avoided losing any of their biggest stars. Smart, early and effective business.
3. Leeds United — 8/10
Key Ins: James Trafford (£40.5m), Tarik Muharemovic (£34.1m), Harry Wilson (free)
Key Outs: Pascal Struijk (£18m), Joe Gelhardt (£6.5m)
Leeds strengthened without going overboard. Trafford could solve their goalkeeper position for years, Muharemovic adds quality at centre-back and landing Wilson for nothing looks particularly clever.
4. Manchester City — 8/10
Key Ins: Enzo Fernandez (£125m), Elliot Anderson (£116m), Ayyoub Bouaddi (£85.6m), Iliman Ndiaye (£60m)
Key Outs: Savio (£75m), Nico Gonzalez (£52m), Tijjani Reijnders (£52m), Rodri (£51.3m)
City spent around £435m and built a frightening new-look midfield, but losing Rodri is impossible to ignore. There is enormous quality coming in, although Enzo Maresca now has to make a heavily revamped squad click.
5. Arsenal — 8/10
Key Ins: Bruno Guimaraes (£75m), Ezri Konsa (£51m), Piero Hincapie (£45m), Christos Tzolis (£34m)
Key Outs: Gabriel Martinelli (£55.7m), Leandro Trossard (£15.3m), Gabriel Jesus (£8.6m)
Guimaraes and Konsa are excellent additions to an already outstanding squad, but Arsenal never landed the marquee attacker many expected. Losing Martinelli, Trossard and Jesus also leaves questions about their options on the left. Still a strong window for the champions.
6. Brighton — 8/10
Key Ins: Luka Vuskovic (£46m), Pascal Struijk (£18m), Chema Andres (£15.5m)
Key Outs: Carlos Baleba (£70m), Jan Paul van Hecke (£52m)
Losing Baleba hurts, but Brighton did what Brighton do and reinvested aggressively. Vuskovic is a huge statement at centre-back, while highly-rated midfielder Chema Andres could prove another clever piece of recruitment.
7. Hull City — 8/10
Key Ins: Nobel Mendy (£20m), Konstantinos Tzolakis (£20m), Ilyas Ansah (£14.5m), Mohamed-Ali Cho (£13m)
Key Outs: Ivor Pandur (£6m), Abu Kamara (£2.5m)
Eighteen arrivals is bordering on ridiculous, but Hull knew they needed Premier League quality after promotion. Mendy and Tzolakis have already made an impression and the Tigers have given themselves a genuine fighting chance of survival with two wins from two.
8. Manchester United — 7.5/10
Key Ins: Carlos Baleba (£70m), Andrey Santos (£50m), Youri Tielemans (£35m)
Key Outs: Rasmus Hojlund (£43.2m), Casemiro (free) Jadon Sancho (released)
A completely refreshed midfield gives United plenty to be excited about. Baleba, Santos and Tielemans offer an excellent blend, although failing to land a new left-back prevents this from being an outstanding window.
9. Liverpool — 7.5/10
Key Ins: Bradley Barcola (£123m), Jeremy Jacquet (£55m), Victor Munoz (£34.5m), Ronald Araujo (loan)
Key Outs: Curtis Jones (£25.7m), Harvey Elliott (loan)
Barcola is the blockbuster arrival Liverpool wanted and there is more defensive depth, but obvious holes remain. Spending £123m on a forward while still looking light at defensive midfield and right-back makes this a difficult window to love completely.
10. Ipswich Town — 7.5/10
Key Ins: Julio Enciso (£26m), Emersonn (£24m), Exequiel Palacios (£23.5m), Abdul Fatawu (£20m), Daizen Maeda (£10m)
Ipswich have certainly given survival a go. Around £170m spent represents a huge gamble, but Enciso, Palacios and Fatawu give them genuine quality. Whether such a dramatic rebuild actually works is another question.
11. Bournemouth — 7.5/10
Key Ins: Antonio Silva (£21.4m), Alvaro Rodriguez (£21.3m), Juanlu Sanchez (£11.1m)
Key Outs: Hamed Traore (£6.5m), Luis Sinisterra (£5.2m)
Keeping Alex Scott was arguably Bournemouth’s biggest victory. Antonio Silva could be an excellent signing for just over £20m, although European football means their squad depth will be seriously tested.
12. Tottenham — 7/10
Key Ins: Sandro Tonali (£92.5m), Mateus Fernandes (£85m), Savio (£75m), Jan Paul van Hecke (£52m)
Key Outs: Luka Vuskovic (£46m), Cristian Romero (£34.1m), Djed Spence (£25.6m)
Spurs certainly can’t be accused of lacking ambition. More than £300m has been spent rebuilding a squad after consecutive 17th-place finishes, but whether they’ve received enough elite quality for that enormous investment remains to be seen.
13. Coventry City — 7/10
Key Ins: Caleb Yirenkyi (£23m), Carl Rushworth (£22.5m), Sidiki Cherif (£20.5m), Taiwo Awoniyi (£9m)
Coventry have backed Frank Lampard with well over £100m without completely dismantling their promotion-winning squad. Awoniyi could prove particularly useful if he can rediscover his goalscoring touch.
14. Sunderland — 6.5/10
Key Ins: Malick Fofana (£30.8m), Dayann Methalie (£24m), Kevin Danso (loan)
Key Outs: Eliezer Mayenda (£17.1m), Anthony Patterson (£8m)
A quiet summer suddenly became much more interesting on Deadline Day. Fofana and Danso strengthen a squad that already exceeded expectations last season, while Sunderland importantly retained their key players.
15. Nottingham Forest — 6.5/10
Key Ins: Liam Delap (£45m), Ousmane Diomande (£34.2m), Daniel Munoz (£22m), Xaver Schlager (free)
Key Outs: Elliot Anderson (£116m), Taiwo Awoniyi (£9m)
£116m was an extraordinary offer for Anderson, but losing your best player inevitably weakens the squad. Diomande and Munoz are strong additions, while Schlager on a free could prove excellent business.
16. Newcastle United — 6/10
Key Ins: Nico Gonzalez (£52m), Matias Fernandez-Pardo (£51m), Bazoumana Toure (£43m), Amar Dedic (£29.5m)
Key Outs: Sandro Tonali (£92.5m), Bruno Guimaraes (£75m), Anthony Gordon (£69.3m)
Newcastle have added plenty of talent, but losing Tonali, Guimaraes and Gordon in the same window is brutal. Their encouraging start under Matthias Jaissle offers hope that the rebuild may work quicker than expected.
17. Crystal Palace — 6/10
Key Ins: Anan Khalaili (£21m), Axel Disasi (loan), Quinten Timber, Honest Ahanor (loan)
Key Outs: Maxence Lacroix (£52m), Daniel Munoz (£22m)
Palace eventually became busy on Deadline Day, but losing Lacroix and Munoz leaves holes. They kept Jean-Philippe Mateta and Ismaila Sarr, although neither appeared particularly keen to stay.
18. Aston Villa — 5.5/10
Key Ins: Johan Manzambi (£51m), Nicolas Jackson (£47.5m), Ibrahim Mbaye (£47m), Joao Gomes (£34m)
Key Outs: Morgan Rogers (£117m), Ollie Watkins (£51m), Ezri Konsa (£51m), Youri Tielemans (£35m)
Villa’s financial situation forced a painful reset. There is plenty of exciting young talent arriving, but losing so many established stars at once makes them significantly harder to assess as a top-four contender.
19. Fulham — 5/10

Key Outs: Sasa Lukic (£9m), Issa Diop (£8.5m), Harry Wilson (free), Raul Jimenez (free)
There’s promise in Fulham’s new direction under Alvaro Arbeloa, but plenty of uncertainty too. Losing the experience and production of Wilson and Jimenez leaves this squad looking vulnerable.
20. Everton — 4/10
Key Ins: Tyrique George (£18m), Merlin Rohl (£17.3m), Hayden Hackney (£16.5m), Jack Grealish (loan)
Key Outs: Iliman Ndiaye (£60m), Beto (£17m), Dwight McNeil (swap)
A frustrating Deadline Day leaves Everton bottom of our rankings. Losing Ndiaye is a huge blow, while selling Beto and then failing to land a replacement striker leaves them worryingly short up front.
