Monday Night Football takes us to Elland Road tonight as Leeds welcome an unbeaten Newcastle side to Yorkshire.
Leeds’ 6-3 EFL Cup defeat at Chelsea looks dramatic on paper, but their Premier League performances have been far more solid. Newcastle are yet to lose under Matthias Jaissle, although their performances on the road remain a concern after struggling away from home throughout last season.
We’re expecting a tight contest, but we’ve still managed to put together a huge 67.00 Bet Builder for tonight’s game.
Our 67.00 Bet Builder
- Match to end in a draw
- Anthony Elanga to score anytime
- Dominic Calvert-Lewin to score anytime
- Under 5.5 goals
- Nico Gonzalez to be carded
Match to End in a Draw
There has been little to separate these sides so far this season.
Leeds have already drawn with Brentford and Brighton, while Newcastle shared the points with Liverpool and Bournemouth. The Magpies are unbeaten, but their underlying attacking numbers have been less convincing, while Leeds have traditionally been much stronger at Elland Road.
We’re backing another closely fought contest to finish level.
Anthony Elanga to Score Anytime
Anthony Elanga has quickly established himself as an important part of this Newcastle side, starting all three of their Premier League games.
The winger has scored in two of his last three league appearances, including an impressive strike in Newcastle’s 2-0 victory at Tottenham.
We’re backing Elanga to continue his strong start with another goal tonight.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin to Score Anytime
At the other end, Dominic Calvert-Lewin continues to get himself into dangerous positions.
Five of his six shots across his opening three games have come from close range, while he scored in Leeds’ last Premier League game at Elland Road against Brentford.
He also found the net against Chelsea in midweek, and we’re backing him to strike again.
Under 5.5 Goals
Wednesday’s nine-goal thriller at Stamford Bridge was very much the exception for Leeds.
Their first four matches of the season produced only seven goals in total, while Newcastle have posted the second-lowest xG figure in the Premier League so far.
We originally considered going even lower with this selection, but with under 4.5 priced the same, under 5.5 goals gives us some extra insurance without sacrificing the overall 67.00 price.
Nico Gonzalez to Be Carded
Nico Gonzalez has wasted no time getting stuck into the action since joining Newcastle.
The midfielder committed six fouls against Bournemouth on his Premier League debut before adding another three against Millwall in midweek.
Tonight’s referee Michael Salisbury has also shown 10 yellow cards across his first two matches of the season, so Gonzalez looks a strong candidate to find his way into the book.
