Manchester City vs Ipswich
Man City enjoyed a massive morale-boosting win against Liverpool last weekend, but were stunned against PSG, losing 4-2 despite creating more chances and largely dominating the second half.
Enzo Maresca took plenty of positives from that game, and his men will be eager to return to winning ways and preserve their 100% league record against 10th-place Ipswich.
- Man City have scored 12 goals in their last 3 home games
- Ipswich have scored 7 goals in their last 4 games
Pick: Man City to win & both teams to score (GG) @2.41
Real Betis vs Barcelona
Barcelona came from behind to thrash Galatasaray 4-1 in midweek, making it 10 wins from 10 games. The Blaugrana are also ruthless in front of goal, averaging 4.3 goals per game in all competitions.
Betis are not a bad side, and their 3-2 win over Porto was their 6th win in the last 7 games, making them very likely to trouble the La Liga leaders.
- Barcelona have scored 43 goals in 10 games this season
- Betis have scored 8 goals in their last 2 games
Pick: Both teams to score & over 2.5 goals @1.44
Bayern Munich vs Leipzig
The two highest-scoring Bundesliga teams face off this weekend, and we can expect a goal-fest. Bayern have actually failed to win any of their last 2 games, despite scoring 5 goals.
Leipzig are a different team away from home, losing their last 3 away games, which suggests Bayern are heavy favourites here. However, the visitors have scored 7 goals in their last 2 games and will not go down easily.
- Bayern Munich have won 3 of their last 5 games
- Leipzig have scored 12 goals in their last 4 games
Pick: Leipzig +3 goals handicap (not to lose by 3 goals) @1.61
Brighton vs Crystal Palace
Brighton have started the season in fine form, taking 13 points from six games with a +13-goal difference. They have also won their last 4 games in all competitions, including defeating Arsenal 3-0 to send a message to the rest of the league.
They take on a Crystal Palace side who have shown defensive vulnerabilities this season, conceding 12 goals in 9 games.
- Brighton have lost just once this season
- Crystal Palace’s last 4 games have produced 10 goals
Pick: Brighton to win & over 1.5 goals @1.70
Den Haag vs PSV
PSV are just one point behind Feyenoord in the Eredivisie title race, and after losing to Leipzig in the UCL in midweek, will be desperate to get back to winning ways.
This weekend they are away to Den Haag, who have now gone 8 games without a win, and we expect PSV to rack up the goals here. However, the hosts have scored 7 goals in their last 5 games, and we believe they can find the net here in a high-scoring affair.
- PSV have scored 12 goals in their last 6 games
- Den Haag have only failed to score once at home this season
Pick: PSV win & both teams to score (GG) @2.04
