After the intense spectacle of Monday’s games, the Africa Cup of Nations continues throughout Tuesday evening with it being Group C and D’s turn to play their final matches of the group stage.
Monday saw huge upsets and late drama as Ghana crashed out after drawing 2-2 thanks to two stoppage time goals from Mozambique that levelled the game.
However, the biggest shock of the night was hosts Ivory Coast who’s hopes of qualifying for the knockout rounds are now hanging by a thread. Having amazingly lost 4-0 to group winners Equatorial Guinea, Ivory Coast can only qualify as one of the four best third-placed sides but they are unlikely to find out their final fate until the end of Wednesday’s games.

Guinea and Senegal to draw, 2.83
Guinea vs Senegal
Senegal are coming into this game with qualification already secured, facing up against a Guinea side who need at least a point to guarantee second place while a win would see them take top spot.
While Senegal are certainly the stronger of the two sides, we expect that the grit and determination of a Guinea side that will be fighting to secure their place in the top two will make this game an extremely tight affair. With this game also having a history of draws, with them sharing a 0-0 in the previous AFCON group stages, we believe this one will end all square.
Cameroon to win, 1.56
Gambia vs Cameroon
Both Gambia and Cameroon’s hopes of qualifying to the next stage of this year’s AFCON look rather slim heading into this game, with Gambia yet to register a point while Cameroon are three points behind second placed Guinea.
However, Cameroon will take some hope from the knowledge that a win could not only see them move above Guinea if they are to lose but also put them in good standing for one of the four best third-placed sides.
Cameroon have been the victorious side in all of the last three meetings between these two sides, and we fancy The Indomitable Lions to win once again in this one.
Baghdad Bounedjah to score anytime, 2.25
Mauritania vs Algeria
Baghdad Bounedjah has been exceptional for Algeria so far, scoring all three of the Desert Foxes goals so far. With Algeria currently third in the group and two points behind Angola and Burkina Faso who are joint on four points, Algeria will be on the offensive to attempt and secure qualification against pointless Mauritania.
This offensive nature should leave Algeria with plenty of chances and we expect this to play into Bounedjah’s strengths. For this reason we believe Bounedjah will score his fourth of the tournament in this game.
Bertrand Traore to score anytime, 4.00
Angola vs Burkina Faso
Bertrand Traore has scored twice for Burkina Faso so far in this AFCON, with both goals coming in the form of penalties.
While this game is likely to be a hard-fought encounter between the top two sides of Group D who are currently joint of four points each, we are certain there will be plenty of chances for both sides to get on the scoresheet. With this, we believe Traore will get another chance to get on the scoresheet for the third straight game in this one.
