Manchester United are on the hunt for a new striker this summer and we picked out three potential forwards that could make the switch to Old Trafford before the transfer window ends.
United had a successful campaign last term without having a striker cemented in the starting XI. This is certainly an area of the pitch that they could bolster to help them improve.
Rasmus Hojlund
Hojlund is a young striker on the radar of Erik ten Haag this summer, but United’s initial bid of £30million was swiftly rejected by Serie A outfit Atalanta earlier on in the window.
There have been reports suggesting that United are ready to submit a new offer, as the Dutch manager can see him being a suitable long-term option as well as coming in and having an instant impact.
The Danish youngster was in and out of the starting XI for Atalanta last term, but has caught the eye of several top European sides after he chipped in with 13 goal contributions in 32 Serie A games.
Victor Osimhen
Victor Osimhen has been on the radar of Manchester United in previous transfer windows and the interest has ramped up this summer.
The Nigerian forward has proven that he can score goals over the past few seasons and he had his most productive campaign last term after finding the back of the net 31 times in 39 games in all competitions.
With United already forking out £60million for Mason Mount, it is unclear how much budget Ten Haag has left to play with this summer, so it might be difficult to get the Nigerian in the door due to the current asking price of Napoli.
Randal Kolo Muani
Another one of the strikers on Ten Haag’s shortlist this summer is 24-year-old Frenchman Randal Kolo Muani, who currently plays for Eintracht Frankfurt.
Muani has become one of the most sought after forwards in Europe after he netted 15 times and chipped in with a further 14 assists in the Bundesliga last term.
However, the French forward reportedly has a price tag of £86million, so it will be interesting to see if United opt to break the bank in order to get him in the door
Who do you think would be the best fit up top for United?
