If you thought the football season was over, think again! The FIFA Club World Cup kicks off this weekend, alongside several international matches.

As always, we’ve handpicked five goalscorer bets to boost your chances of winning.

So, let’s get right into it and you can bet on all five right here at Bet9ja!

Lionel Messi vs Al Ahly

The FIFA Club World Cup kicks off on Sunday morning, with Egyptian champions Al Ahly facing Inter Miami in the opening match.

With Palmeiras and Porto also in Group A, both Al Ahly and Inter Miami must view this as a must-win game to boost their chances of advancing to the knockout rounds.

An Inter Miami victory seems the likely outcome, given their home advantage and star power of Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, and Sergio Busquets in the squad.

Messi has been in red-hot form recently, scoring five goals in his last three matches for Inter. We are backing the Argentine legend to find the net in Sunday’s Club World Cup opener.

Messi to score anytime @2.15

Harry Kane vs Auckland City

After being crowned 2024/25 Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich are eager to add another trophy at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.

The German giants kick off their campaign on 15 June against New Zealand’s Auckland City, and, let’s face it, they’re overwhelming favorites.

We expect them to win—and win big. Having claimed consecutive Golden Boots since joining Bayern, Harry Kane remains a near-guaranteed goalscorer, especially in lopsided victories.

The 32-year-old has netted six goals in his last seven matches for club and country, making him our top pick for a goalscorer bet in this match.

Kane to score anytime @1.25

Santiago Gimenez vs Dominican Republic

Mexico are heavy favourites to defeat the Dominican Republic in their Gold Cup first-round matchup this weekend. They have won five of their last seven games, conceding just three goals while scoring 13.

The Dominican Republic, frankly, are out of their depth at this level. Although they’ve lost only one of their last 10 games, they haven’t faced a team anywhere near Mexico’s quality.

We’re backing Mexico to win big here, and our goalscorer bet is star forward Santiago Giménez. The Milan striker found the net in Mexico’s 4-2 defeat to Switzerland and poses a serious goal threat, especially against such inferior opposition.

Gimenez to score anytime @1.85

Desire Doue vs Atletico Madrid

This is arguably the biggest game of the FIFA Club World Cup’s opening round, as UEFA Champions League winners PSG lock horns with LaLiga giants Atlético Madrid.

Luis Enrique’s men, fresh off their trophy parade and treble win, are eager to complete a clean sweep by adding the revamped Club World Cup trophy to their cabinet. They’re favorites for this clash, but everyone knows you can never write off Diego Simeone’s Atlético.

PSG have been hit with fresh injury concerns in attack, with Ousmane Dembélé and Bradley Barcola in doubt. As a result, our goalscorer bet is Désiré Doué, who has exploded onto the scene with a stellar debut season in Paris.

He scored 15 goals across all competitions, including a brace in the Champions League final, adding to his glowing résumé.

Doue to score anytime @3.75

Tai Baribo vs Charlotte

After a goalless draw against Dallas, Philadelphia Union are eager to return to winning ways in Major League Soccer when they face Charlotte at Subaru Park.

The Union aim to hold onto their top spot in the Eastern Conference, but Sunday’s match won’t be a walk in the park for the hosts.

We’re predicting a tight contest, with Philadelphia just edging it out. For them to do so, they will rely on star man Tai Baribo.

The Israeli striker has bagged 13 goals in 13 MLS games this season, and he’s our pick to find the net again as the Union aim to extend their unbeaten run.

Baribo to score anytime @2.00
