With the season now in full swing, games are coming in thick and fast, presenting more opportunities to cash in on goalscorer bets. Our last picks went 3/5, and we’re aiming for a full house this time.

Here are five of our best-researched goalscorer bets for this week’s action.

Alexander Isak vs Southampton

Liverpool has been in blistering form, reeling off six straight wins since a Community Shield defeat. They will be looking to make it seven on the bounce when they host Championship side Southampton in the EFL Cup.

The Reds have already scored 16 goals across all competitions this season, and this fixture has a history of high scores, with four of the last six meetings producing four or more goals.

We are backing British-record signing Alexander Isak to open his account as he ramps up his fitness

Marcus Rashford vs Real Oviedo

Barcelona followed up their 2-1 Champions League win at Newcastle with a comfortable 3-0 triumph over Getafe in La Liga. Hansi Flick’s in-form side can keep the momentum going against Real Oviedo on Thursday.

With Oviedo having only scored one goal all season, this should be a straightforward victory for the unbeaten visitors, even with the continued absence of star player Lamine Yamal. Our pick here is Marcus Rashford to score.

The loanee appears to be finding his stride, and this could be the perfect game for him to get his first league goal.

Rashford to score anytime @2.40

Cucho Hernandez vs Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest make a return to the European stage after a 30-year absence, starting their campaign with a trip to Spain to face Real Betis. The Spanish side have scored in all six of their La Liga games but has only managed one clean sheet, suggesting both teams could score here.

However, we’re picking Betis star Cucho Hernandez to score anytime. The 26-year-old has been in excellent form, scoring in back-to-back games, and could pose a significant threat to Forest’s high defensive line.

Hernandez to score anytime @2.90

Harry Kane vs Werder Bremen

There is no doubt that Harry Kane is the hottest striker in the world right now. The England captain has an incredible 13 goals in just seven games across all competitions for Bayern, who are undefeated with seven straight wins.

The Bundesliga champions have scored 15 goals in their last four games, including a dominant Champions League victory against Chelsea.

As heavy favorites to smash Werder Bremen at home this weekend, Bayern’s surplus of attacking talent should lead to another big score, making Kane’s fantastic form an excellent reason to bet on him.

Kane to score anytime @1.35

Julian Alvarez vs Rayo Vallecano

Atletico Madrid dropped points for the fourth time in five La Liga games this season when they were held to a 1-1 draw at Mallorca on Sunday, and they will be desperate to bounce back against Rayo Vallecano.

Atletico are still favourites, thanks to the historical mismatch between most sides; Rayo have lost four and drawn one of their last five encounters. Our pick to score here is Julian Alvarez.

The Argentine is yet to hit his stride this season and missed a penalty at the weekend. However, he continues to get the chances, and we expect him to be among the goals at home this week.

Alvarez to score anytime @2.35
