9 July Transfer Rumours: Club meet Osimhen release clause, EPL Chase for Super Eagles Star, Arsenal Pull Plug on Deal?

It’s another day of chaos in the transfer market – and we’re not even halfway through the week. From massive release clause moves to dramatic U-turns, rejected bids to stalling talks, the deals keep coming…and so does the drama.

Here’s today’s unmissable round-up.

Club Finally Accept Osimhen’s £64m Clause

It looks like we’ve hit the tipping point in the Victor Osimhen saga. After Galatasaray saw earlier bids knocked back, fresh reports claim they’ve now agreed to pay Osimhen’s full £64 million release clause, which expires on July 15.

Napoli have stood firm on their asking price for weeks, but the Turkish side are desperate to make the Nigerian striker’s stay permanent after he scored 37 goals in 41 games during a sensational loan spell last season. Could this finally be the breakthrough?

EPL Move for Rising Nigerian Star

Christantus Uche may be on the brink of a major Premier League move, according to Getafe president Ángel Torres. The 21-year-old Nigerian starlet has impressed in La Liga since arriving from Ceuta and now has England firmly in his sights.

“He has offers from Italy,” Torres admitted, “but for some reason he only wants to go to the Premier League.” The versatile midfielder was recently called up by the Super Eagles and is reportedly being tracked by multiple English clubs.

Arsenal Set to Use Rising Star in Bid for £68m Target

Arsenal remain locked in talks with Crystal Palace over a move for Eberechi Eze, and reports claim they may include a highly rated young player in the deal to soften Palace’s £68 million release clause demand.

The player hasn’t been named, but it’s believed the Gunners are prepared to get creative to outbid Spurs, who are also interested. Eze is open to the move and has been training independently to stay fit while he waits.

Lookman Turns Down EPL Return

Despite growing links with West Ham and Arsenal, Ademola Lookman has no interest in returning to the Premier League – at least for now. According to transfer insider Matteo Moretto, Lookman is focused on staying in Europe, with Atletico Madrid and Napoli both circling.

The Nigerian winger has been electric for Atalanta and is believed to be waiting on the right offer from outside England before making his next move.

Valencia & Brentford in Talks Over Onyeka Deal

Frank Onyeka could be heading for La Liga. Brentford are reportedly in discussions with Valencia over a permanent move for the Nigerian midfielder, who spent last season on loan at Augsburg.

Onyeka is back in pre-season with the Bees, but with opportunities limited, a change of scenery looks likely, and Spain could be the next step.

Joe Aribo Set for Rangers Return?

After relegation with Southampton, Joe Aribo could be on the move – and potentially heading back to Ibrox. New Rangers manager Russell Martin, who coached him at Saints, is reportedly keen on a reunion.

Southampton are open to a cut-price deal with the midfielder in the final year of his contract, and several Championship clubs are also monitoring the situation.

Arsenal Face Rodrygo Blow

With Jamal Musiala injured, Bayern Munich are reportedly planning a £55m offer for Rodrygo, who’s also been long-linked with Arsenal. The Real Madrid winger may be available, but only if the Spanish giants receive closer to £80m.

Madrid are reluctant to sell, but Rodrygo’s form has dipped and internal discussions are ongoing. If Bayern push harder, Arsenal could be out of the race.

Man Utd Refusing to Give Up on African Forward

Manchester United are still battling for Bryan Mbeumo, despite Brentford rejecting two bids – the latest worth £62.5 million. The Red Devils believe a deal can be done at £65 million, but negotiations are tense as Brentford remain firm on their valuation.

The Cameroon international is viewed as a key attacking addition after United missed out on other forward targets earlier in the window.

Gyokeres Could Consider Emergency Loan

Sound familiar? Just like Osimhen last year, Viktor Gyokeres is prepared to accept a loan move away from Sporting Lisbon if his dream Arsenal switch falls through. The Swedish striker is still Arsenal’s top forward target, but talks over his £68.9m release clause have dragged on.

Sporting are standing firm – but if nothing materialises soon, Gyokeres could push for a short-term exit.

Real Madrid Close In on New Left-Back

Real Madrid are close to sealing a deal to bring Alvaro Carreras back to the club from Benfica, with talks back on following the conclusion of the Club World Cup. The Spanish full-back has enjoyed a breakout spell in Portugal, and a return to the Bernabéu is now near.

Arsenal Defender Deal Stalls

Arsenal’s interest in Cristhian Mosquera has reportedly completely stalled after Valencia rejected an opening £12m bid. The Spanish club want over £20 million, and while Mosquera has agreed personal terms with Arsenal, the two clubs are nowhere near an agreement.

RB Leipzig are also watching the situation and could jump in if talks remain frozen.
