Following the week-long break to allow for the EFL Cup and UEFA Champions League matches to take place, the English Premier League is set to return this weekend for matchday five of the 2024/25 season.
With all 20 teams aiming to either continue building early momentum or recover after disappointing starts to their campaigns, each of the 10 fixtures should be hugely entertaining as every team battles for three points.

West Ham vs Chelsea
Despite scoring an impressive 17 goals across all competitions for Chelsea last season, and showing signs of having the potential to become a fantastic striker, many were critical of Nicolas Jackson and believed Chelsea should have signed a world-class striker during the summer window.
Chelsea, however, stuck with Jackson as their main number nine, and the striker has started the season in positive fashion. Jackson has already netted twice in four Premier League appearances and has been a major threat in every game he has played, and for that reason, we believe Jackson will score once again here.

Aston Villa vs Wolves
Duran may yet to have started any of Aston Villa’s five matches so far this season, but the striker has come off the bench to have a major impact in every single fixture.
The striker scored a 79th-minute winner against West Ham, the decisive goal in the 63rd minute against Leicester City, a phenomenal long-range winner against Everton in the 76th minute, and most recently was denied his first Champions League goal due to a handball against Young Boys.
With Duran in such clinical form in front of goal, Unai Emery is sure to bring the striker off the bench at some point against Wolves, and we are backing Duran to get on the scoresheet once again.

Crystal Palace vs Manchester United
Manchester United may have had a difficult start to the season as they lost two of their first three matches, suffering 2-1 and 3-0 defeats to Brighton and Liverpool respectively, but they have looked vastly improved in their last two outings.
A dominant performance against Southampton saw them earn a deserved 3-0 victory before they smashed Barnsley 7-0 in what could have been a tricky EFL Cup test.
Those two results are sure to give them plenty of confidence heading into a match against Crystal Palace, who are yet to win a game in the Premier League, suggesting the Red Devils will win.
Manchester United to win, 2.42
Manchester City vs Arsenal
Manchester City and Arsenal have fought for the title in each of the last two seasons, with Pep Guardiola’s side narrowly beating Mikel Arteta’s men to lift the Premier League trophy on both occasions.
This campaign, Arteta will be desperate to finally get one over Guardiola and beat Man City to the title, lifting Arsenal’s first league title in 20 years, leaving this match-up as highly important for both sides.
Man City are likely to be the more confident side as they will be backed by their home crowd, while Erling Haaland is also in sensational form with the striker already netting nine Premier League goals in four games. For that reason, we believe Man City will win this match, however, both meetings last season were extremely tight with just one goal across both Premier League fixtures, and we believe there will be less than 1.5 goals again in this one.
