The UEFA Nations League action continues this weekend with an exciting double header of fixtures.
Saturday will see the final matches of round three group stage matches taking place, while Sunday sees the beginning of round four, where each game will become more intense as teams battle it out to move higher up the standings. With playoff, promotion and relegation spots on the line, the stakes are beginning to rise as teams across Europe aim to secure their place in the next stage of the competition.
In this article, we will be taking a closer look at a selection of these matches and picking out our top tips and best booking codes (odds at time of writing):
Poland vs Portugal
Heading into this International break, Cristiano Ronaldo has been in immense form for both club and country, scoring in each of his last four matches and 10 in his last 11 appearances across all competitions.
While the striker did struggle at the summer’s European Championships, he netted in both of Portugal’s first two Nations League fixtures, and we expect the veteran striker to continue his incredible form with another goal here.
Cristiano Ronaldo to score anytime, 2.00
Spain vs Denmark
Spain are undeniably one of the best footballing nations in the world, and they are heading into their two Nations League fixtures in remarkable form, unbeaten in their last 12 matches across all competitions, including triumphing at the Euros.
While Denmark are also in fair form, winning two and drawing three of their last five, they are undoubtedly the underdogs heading into this match.
We do expect Denmark to give Spain a good test, but ultimately, we believe that Spain will have too much quality for their opponents and will secure a victory here.
Spain to win, 1.45
Finland vs England
England have lost two of their last 10 matches across all competitions, losing to Spain in the Euro 2024 Final, before a shocking 2-1 defeat to Greece on Thursday.
New manager Lee Carsley took charge of two 2-0 wins in the last international break, and the interim manager will be aiming to stake his claim for the permanent role and bounce back strongly after such a poor result.
England already beat Finland 2-0 in Carsley’s second game in charge, and we believe the game will play out much the same here, with England securing a comfortable and much needed win.
England to win by 2 goals, 3.50
Austria vs Norway
Although Austria were narrowly knocked out by Turkey in the round of 16 at the Euros, they were widely considered one of the best-performing teams in the tournament, having topped a group that included Poland, France, and the Netherlands.
Despite that, they have struggled since their elimination, drawing to Slovenia and losing to Norway in the reverse fixture. However, Ralf Rangnick will be happy to see his side win 4-0 on Thursday against Kazakhstan and we believe Austria will continue that form a win against Norway.
Austria to win, 2.02
