The second round of matches in the 2024 European Championships group stage kicks off on Wednesday with three matches split across Groups A and B.
The first round of matches has provided an abundance of goals and plenty of action in every match, and the next set of fixtures is sure to follow the same trend. Read on as we take a look at these games and pick out our top tips and booking codes:
Croatia vs Albania
Croatia disappointed in their first fixture of Euro 2024, falling to a 3-0 defeat against Spain despite the game being extremely even.
Croatia managed to create a higher xG than their opponents with 2.38 compared to Spain’s 2.01 but a lack of goal scorers left them defeated and they now find themselves bottom in the group heading into this match.
A win against Albania could be crucial if they are to make it out of the ‘group of death’ and while we do expect Albania to put up a good defence, similarly to how they did against Italy, we do believe that Croatia will win this one.

Germany vs Hungary
German manager Julian Nagelsmann announced Kai Havertz would be leading the line as his side’s number nine going into the tournament, and the striker delivered in the opening game of the tournament with a goal and an assist.
Havertz has shown in recent months that he is more than capable as a striker, performing on the biggest stage with Arsenal and ending the season with four goals and two assists in the final five league matches. These performances have continued into the summer with Germany, scoring in the warm-up friendly against Greece and hitting the net again against Scotland, and we expect Havertz’s brilliant form to continue with a goal again today.

Scotland vs Switzerland
Scotland’s opening game in Euro 2024 could not have gone any worse for Steve Clarke’s side as they were humiliated 5-1 by the hosts Germany, getting on the scoresheet thanks to an own goal from Antonio Rudiger after having just one shot in the entire match.
Switzerland, on the other hand, were impressive in their opener against Hungary, especially in the first 45 minutes which saw them dominate the fixture. A second-half fight-back from Hungary saw the Swiss holding on to their lead towards the dying stages of the game before talisman Breel Embolo netted a beautiful chip late in the game to secure the three points.
While Scotland will certainly be looking for an improved performance after a disastrous opening match, if Switzerland hit the same levels as in their first match then they should comfortably secure victory.
