The second legs of the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round are set to conclude on Wednesday.
With these games giving each side the chance to push one step closer to the newly revamped Champions League league phase, we expect them to be full of drama and chaos as every side puts all their effort into securing a victory.
In this article, we’re going to take a closer look at a selection of the games on Wednesday, picking out our top tips:
Partizan vs Dynamo Kiev
Despite facing a difficult game against Partizan, and initially going 1-0 down in the 22nd minute, Dynamo Kiev secured a resounding 6-2 victory that they will believe is enough to put them through into the third round.
Partizan will be looking to stage a comeback in their home ground in this second leg, but with Dynamo Kiev’s phenomenal attacking prowess, displayed in their last match-up, we believe the Ukrainian side will get plenty of chances to score, eventually winning the match and advancing into the next round.
Dynamo Kiev to win, 1.86
Rigas Futbola Skola vs Bodoe/Glimt
Bodoe/Glimt were strong favourites heading into the first leg against Rigas Futbola Skola, and they certainly showed why as they ran out 4-0 winners after scoring three in the first half and adding the fourth in the 76th minute.
Similarly to Partizan, Rigas, who have lost just one of their last 17 outings, will believe they can get back into the game with the second leg taking place at their home ground. However, Bodoe/Glimt are clearly the stronger side and we expect them to once again take control of this game, eventually recording another big victory as they push into the third round.
Bodoe/Glimt to win & over 2.5 goals, 2.24
Borac Banja Luka vs PAOK
PAOK went into the first leg at their home ground expecting to record a commanding victory in an overall comfortable game, but Borac Banja Luka put them to the test as they twice equalised before eventually failing to reply to William Troost-Ekong’s 51st-minute winner.
That performance would have given Borac plenty of confidence heading into their home tie, but PAOK do hold the upper hand going into the second leg, and we expect the Greek side to hold on to their advantage and progress into the next qualifying round.
PAOK to win & over 2.5 goals, 2.28
