Record-breaking Harry Kane’s most important Tottenham goals

When Harry Kane scored the winner against Manchester City on Sunday, he became Tottenham Hotspur’s all-time leading scorer.

His 267th for the club not only boosted Spurs’ top four hopes, but also eclipsed Jimmy Greaves’ previous goal tally, which stood for more than 50 years. Kane’s goal was also his 200th in the English Premier League, becoming just the third player to achieve the feat.

Kane has undoubtedly been one of the most influential Spurs players in modern times, and we take a look at some of his most important goals for Tottenham since scoring his first against Shamrock Rovers in December 2011.

3. Kane v Arsenal, March 2016, White Hart Lane.

At third place we take a look at arguably one of Kane best goals in a Spurs shirt, with the added importance of it being against fierce rivals, Arsenal.

Kane cut in from the left-hand side, and curled the ball into the far right corner, and the goal will forever go down as iconic for the Spurs faithful, whilst he took off his mask mid celebration and ran straight towards the fans.

Arsenal took the lead in the game via Aaron Ramsey, but Toby Alderweireld scored the leveller in the 60th minute, and Kane’s memorable finish came just two minutes later. Despite Spurs failing to come away from the match with all three points, this finish will be remembered with great fondness by his fans.

2.  Kane 200th for Spurs, November 2020

Harry Kane’s 200th goal in a Spurs shirt might not be the most memorable for those associated with the club, due to it coming against Ludogorets in the Europa League in a 3-1 victory.

However, for the England captain this would have been a huge milestone to hit, with the next landmark on a personal level was to be the clubs all time record goal scorer.

The 29-year-old had a tough start to life in his professional career at the club, with him struggling whilst spending time on loan in the lower leagues, so reaching the 200 goal mark would have been a huge accomplishment.

1.  Kane 267 record goal, February 2023

Kane scored the only goal of the game on Sunday against Manchester City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and this goal not only sealed all three points for his side, but it was one that went down in history at the club as it broke Greaves’ all time record at the club of 266 goals.

There is no doubt that the Englishman will go down in history as one of the clubs greatest ever players, and this achievement has certainly secured himself the title as the clubs most prolific finisher.
