We’re back for week four of the 2022/23 Premier League season and it is already shaping up to be a fascinating campaign. Among the highlights last weekend was the thrilling 3-3 draw between Newcastle and Man City, as City came back from 3-1 down. Leeds United stunned Chelsea 3-0 at Elland Road, while at Old Trafford, Man Utd finally got their first points of the season after beating Liverpool 2-1.
It’s another big weekend of action at Bet9ja and here’s some of the best odds and markets we’re offering on the key games for matchday four:
Southampton vs Manchester United, Saturday 27th August 12:30pm:
Southampton have made a solid start to the new Premier League season. After a 4-1 defeat to Spurs on the opening day, the Saints came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Leeds and then fought back to beat Leicester 2-1 at the King Power Stadium last Saturday, courtesy of a Che Adams brace
For Man Utd, Eric ten Hag finally got a first league win as the new boss on Monday Night. Old Trafford was rocking as goals from Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford helped the Red Devils secure a crucial 2-1 win over fierce rivals Liverpool. It was an excellent display which will give United fans much more hope after consecutive defeats.
The recent head-to-head record doesn’t make good reading for the Saints. Southampton haven’t beaten United in the league since January 2016 and in 2003 at home. United’s performance on Monday surely has kick started a new era under ten Hag. It will be interesting to see if the Liverpool win was just temporary success or the start of a resurgence. You can get odds of 1.82 for an away win which would be the sensible choice for this one.
Bet9ja odds (at time of writing): Southampton win: 4.20, Draw: 3.90, Man Utd win: 1.82

Manchester City vs Crystal Palace, Saturday 27th August 3pm:
Last Sunday was a timely reminder that Man City are far from invincible. Pep Guardiola’s men were caught out too many times which Newcastle capitalised on to race into a 3-1 lead. But City’s never die attitude meant goals from Erling Haaland and Bernardo Silva rescued a point, to make it seven points from the first three matches.
For Crystal Palace, Patrick Vieira’s side are continuing the good work from last season’s mid-table finish. Palace earned an impressive 1-1 draw at Anfield against Liverpool on matchday two, before a Wilfried Zaha brace secured a 3-1 victory over Aston Villa last week. Zaha already has three Premier League goals to his name this season and looks good value in bettering his tally of 14 last season.
Crystal Palace have caused Man City a few problems over recent years. In fact, City only have one win over the Eagles in the past four fixtures between the two at the Etihad Stadium. Last season, Vieira’s men shocked City 2-0, with a perfect back-to-the-wall away display. That adds extra intrigue to the betting, and while a City win at 1.19 seems the obvious choice, a draw at 7.30 might be tempting with a 1-1 correct score 13.50!
Bet9ja odds (at time of writing): Man City win: 1.19, Draw: 7.30, Crystal Palace win: 14.75

Arsenal vs Fulham, Saturday 27th August, 5:30pm:
Arsenal fans must be loving life at the moment, with the Gunners sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League table. Mikel Arteta’ men have won three from three, in stark contrast to three straight defeats at the same point this time last season. While bigger tests are to come, the Gunners have been clinical against Crystal Palace, Leicester and Bournemouth. New signing Gabriel Jesus has hit the ground running with two goals in three matches, the same amount of goals both Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard have scored too.
Fulham are enjoying a fine start back in the Premier League, currently unbeaten with five points. They started the season with an excellent 2-2 draw against title challengers Liverpool and last weekend, beat London rivals Brentford 3-2.
Aleksandar Mitrovic has been on fire with three goals already so far. Going back to last August, the Serbia international has netted 46 goals in his last 47 league games and will be key to Fulham’s chances this season.
Arsenal should be considered strong favourites for this, and are just 1.32 at Bet9ja to bag a fourth straight league win this season. The fact Fulham have never won at Arsenal doesn’t help their cause.
Our new dedicated Soccer page now allows you to bet on who you think will score. This could be a good market to explore, with four players from both teams already on two goals or more for the season. Jesus is the favourite to net with odds of 1.85 anytime or 4.25 as First Goalscorer. Bukayo Saka could be tempting at 2.95 Anytime, while Mitrovic is 3.40 Anytime to continue his incredible goalscoring form.
Bet9ja odds (at time of writing): Arsenal win: 1.32, Draw: 5.60, Fulham win: 9.10
