After a two-week hiatus for the international break, the English Premier League returns this weekend, marking the start of the busy winter schedule.
As teams gear up for a relentless series of fixtures, this weekend promises to set the tone with a slate of captivating clashes. In this article, we will be taking a closer look at four key matches from the upcoming round of fixtures, picking out our top tips and best booking code (odds at time of writing):
Leicester City vs Chelsea
Nicolas Jackson has had a superb opening to the 2024/25 season, netting six goals in just 11 Premier League matches thus far, including goals against Liverpool and Newcastle United.
He is one of many players that have enjoyed their start to the season with Chelsea, as the Blues have already scored 21 times in just 11 games. With them set to face a Leicester City side that have conceded 21 times in 11 games, we expect the visitors to get plenty of chances, and with this, we believe Jackson will score.

Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest
After a brilliant opening to the 2024/25 campaign, remaining unbeaten across all competitions after 10 matches, the Gunners have hit a rough patch of form in recent outings. They have managed just one win in their last five games, coming against Preston North End in the EFL Cup, with two losses and two draws.
Saturday’s game will be a difficult fixture against a Nottingham Forest side that sit fifth in the table after 11 matches, but with Mikel Arteta’s side in desperate need of all three points to keep themselves in the title race, we believe they will be extremely motivated to secure the win here. For that reason, we predict Arsenal will win this one.

Manchester City vs Tottenham Hotspur
Similarly to Arsenal, Man City have had an extremely challenging run in recent matches, falling to four consecutive defeats for the first time in Pep Guardiola’s career.
One of those defeats came in the EFL Cup to Saturday’s opponents, losing 2-1 on that occasion, but Man City started an extremely weakened side in that game, and Tottenham have similarly struggled with two back-to-back defeats in their last outings.
Guardiola will undoubtedly be eager for his side to return to winning ways and end their disappointing run here, and with Tottenham also looking vulnerable in recent games, alongside City returning home for the first time, with all four defeats coming on the road, we believe the hosts will win here.
Manchester City to win, 1.53
Ipswich Town vs Manchester United
Man United are set to play for the first time under Ruben Amorim’s management on Sunday, facing up against an Ipswich Town side who secured their first league win of the campaign in their last outing against Tottenham Hotspur.
Both sides have experienced plenty of goals in their matches so far in the league, with Man United scoring 12 and conceding 12, while Ipswich have scored 12 and conceded 22. With this, we believe there will be plenty of goals in this match.
Furthermore, Man United will be boosted by the arrival of the new manager, and although we do expect Ipswich to put up a strong fight, we ultimately believe Amorim will get off to a winning start.
Manchester United & over 2.5 goals, 2.19
