As the football season across Europe marches towards its dramatic conclusion, the stakes are higher than ever. With only a few matches remaining in most leagues, every goal, point and performance matters, whether it is for securing titles, clinching European spots or avoiding the dreaded drop to relegation.
We break down the key matches across these leagues scheduled for Monday, picking out our top tips and best booking codes (odds at time of writing):
Genoa vs Milan
Milan are on course to record a rather underwhelming 2024/25 season, significantly trailing the European places in Serie A with just four games remaining, leaving their chances of securing for Europe through the league as extremely slim.
Milan do at least have a Coppa Italia final clash with Bologna to look forward to, and Sergio Conceicao will be eager to put together a run of victories before that meeting in mid May as they aim to secure a trophy this season.
The visitors have won three of their last four outings, including a phenomenal 3-0 win against Inter, leaving them with plenty of confidence, while Genoa’s recent run of back-to-back losses leaves Milan as favourites.
Milan have also won five and drawn three of the last eight meetings with Genoa across all competitions, leading us to expect another victory for the visitors.

Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest
Eberechi Eze, after experiencing an extremely slow start to the campaign, has enjoyed a superb run in recent weeks, with the attacking midfielder heading into this clash having scored four and assisted three in his last eight appearances for Crystal Palace – including goals in both of his last two outings.
Those goal contributions have taken Eze’s tally to nine goals and 12 assists for the season, and given the strong form the midfielder is in, combined with Nottingham Forest losing four of their last five games, we believe Eze will score once again here to make it a 10+ goal and assist season.

Girona vs Mallorca
Girona and Mallorca have each had extremely contrasting seasons, particularly when comparing to their previous campaigns, with the hosts dropping from third last term to a relegation battle this time around, while the visitors fought for survival last year and are now in the race for a European place in La Liga.
While both are in positions where points are crucial in achieving their respective objectives, these two teams have endured disappointing runs in recent weeks, with Girona failing to win any of their last 11 league games, while Mallorca have managed only one win from their last five.
This similar lacklustre form suggests that this should be a tight encounter between two struggling teams, but as Mallorca have won all of the last three clashes with Girona, they could well continue their dominance in this fixture with a win.
