The English Premier League returns this weekend with another action-packed slate of fixtures as the season edges ever closer to its dramatic conclusion. While the battles for glory and survival have been virtually wrapped up, the race for a European place is intensifying, with every point carrying heightened significance.

Chelsea vs Everton
Chelsea are one of several teams battling for a European qualification spot in the Premier League, and the Blues will be desperate to take all three points on Saturday as they aim to put together a strong final run of results to secure a top five spot and a place in the Champions League.
The Blues have improved in recent outings after an awful run earlier in the campaign, taking four wins, two draws and one defeat in their last seven league games, including remaining undefeated at their home stadium in the last seven league outings, with five wins and two draws.
While Everton have been strong since David Moyes’s return to the club, the Toffees have historically struggled at Stamford Bridge, failing to win in any of their last 32 visits, leaving us expecting a home victory.

Newcastle United vs Ipswich Town
Newcastle United suffered a miserable 4-1 defeat to European qualification rivals Aston Villa in their last outing, and the Magpies will be desperate to instantly bounce back with a victory to keep their place in the top five – with Champions League qualification on the line.
They will face an Ipswich Town team that are on the verge of relegation, trailing Wolverhampton Wolves in safety by a massive 15 points with just 15 points left to play for, meaning a defeat or draw in this one confirms their demotion.
Given their poor campaign, and combined with Newcastle’s superb run prior to the Aston Villa defeat, we expect the Magpies to win this with at least 1.5 goals scored.

Brighton vs West Ham
After making a sensational start to the campaign, Danny Welbeck’s season slowed down in the following weeks, but the striker has returned to form in the last outings, netting two goals in his last three games.
With both Brighton and West Ham struggling for results in their recent outings, we expect both to be fighting for all three points, meaning we believe there will be several chances. Because of this, expect Welbeck’s scoring form to continue with another goal.

Liverpool vs Tottenham
Liverpool can confirm their league title triumph if they take at least a point in their match-up with Spurs, after Arsenal were held to a draw with Crystal Palace during their midweek league clash.
The Reds are certainly the favourites against Spurs, who have endured a dismal season as they sit in the bottom half of the league table, and given Liverpool have lost only one league game at Anfield all campaign, it’s worth backing them here.
