Rangers vs Panathinaikos
Rangers and Panathinaikos both enter Champions League qualifying at this round, and the Gers will be the more confident of the two teams of securing their progression to the next stage – especially with their first-leg meeting taking place at their home ground.
Rangers will be eager to get their competitive campaign off to a winning start in their first match under Russell Martin, and as the team should now be more accustomed to Martin’s tactical system, they should be full of confidence coming into this one, especially with the Ibrox crowd certain to be in full voice.
While Panathinaikos should pose a tough challenge, they have struggled in pre-season, with two defeats, two wins and one draw, and are the weaker team of the two, leading us to expect a home win.
