Mexico vs Honduras
In a similar story, Mexico take on Honduras in the other semi-final, with Mexico largely expected to secure a significant victory and secure their spot in the final.
Mexico have had one of the toughest fixture lists in the competition, including notable matchups with Costa Rica (0-0) in the group stage and Saudi Arabia (2-0) in the quarter-finals, but they have still been dominant as they have progressed to this round.
They now take on a Honduras side that were defeated 6-0 by Canada on the opening round of fixtures, followed by narrow victories over El Salvador and Curacao in the group stage and a penalty victory over Panama in the quarter-finals.
While they will be delighted to have progressed to this stage, Mexico are an even stronger opponent than the Canada side that were so dominant in their opening match defeat, and we expect a one-sided scoreline in favour of Mexico here.
