As we head into the second international break of the season, the time has come once again to look at some of the best English Premier League goals of the weekend!
In an action-packed weekend, Arsenal edged out Manchester City for a statement victory after a thrilling win for Manchester United and a long-awaited glut of goals for Chelsea.
Mohammed Kudus vs Newcastle
Mohammed Kudus had been tipped for a big transfer ever since impressing for Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and is already proving why West Ham United chose to splash the cash on him.
He made a big impact against Newcastle United this weekend. Vladimir Coufal’s cutback from the right wing found the attacking midfielder in space – Kudus took a touch to set himself before firing a rasping drive low past Nick Pope into the corner of the net to rescue a point for The Hammers.
Mohamed Salah vs Brighton and Hove Albion
Now in his seventh season in England, Mohamed Salah is showing no signs of slowing down. Liverpool conceded a late equaliser to draw to Brighton after Salah’s double put his side in the driving seat.
His opening goal for The Reds was a trademark counter attack, with Dominik Szoboszlai picking the ball up and feeding it forward to the left side of the penalty area. Darwin Nunez cleverly stepped over the ball to leave Salah with a simple finish on his left foot.
Jack Harrison vs Bournemouth
Jack Harrison was one of Leeds’ more consistent performers during their stint in the Premier League, and made his mark for Everton on Saturday with a stunning finish.
Neto punched the ball clear from a cross but Harrison was on hand to send a pinpoint lobbed-volley finish over the Brazilian’s head and in off the crossbar from 25 yards.
Bobby Decordova-Reid vs Sheffield United
Fulham put together a marvelous team goal as they romped to victory against Sheffield United.
Winning the ball in their own half, in a matter of seconds Marco Silva’s men threaded together a string of pinpoint passes to set Andreas Pereira way down the left.
His cross set Bobby Decordova free in the box – he made no mistake as he planted the ball past Wes Foderingham into the bottom corner.
Hwang Hee-Chan vs Aston Villa
Pedro Neto and Hwang have been in sensational form this season and combined for another excellent goal against Aston Villa.
Neto was set free down the right wing – he skinned his man before finding the man that Pep Guardiola dubbed “The Korean Guy” in the centre, and he made no mistake in adding to his season’s tally so far.
