The 2024 European Championship games have been coming thick and fast over the past two and a half weeks, and the final round of the last 16 matches are set to take place throughout Tuesday evening.
Romania and the Netherlands will be the first to match up before Austria take on Turkey, hoping to secure the final spot in the Euro 2024 quarter-finals. In this article, we’re going to take a closer look at these two fixtures and pick out our top tips and booking codes:
Romania vs Netherlands
Cody Gakpo is joint second in the race for the Golden Boot with two goals from his three games, and all three players that have scored three times have featured in a game extra having already played their knockout game.
Despite playing off the left for his country, Gakpo has been at the centre of nearly every attacking move for the Netherlands and has proved to be arguably their biggest threat in front of goal, especially when cutting onto his stronger right foot.
With the Netherlands being the stronger side coming into this game, Gakpo is sure to have chances to score and we believe that the Liverpool winger will get on the scoresheet once again here.

The Netherlands have had an inconsistent opening three matches to their tournament, winning one, drawing one and losing one in their group games, with all three matches being extremely close encounters.
Their opponents Romania have already shown that they are a more than capable side and while we do expect that the Netherlands’ quality will prove too much at the end of the game, we believe that the game will be decided by just a single goal.

Austria vs Turkey
Marcel Sabitzer has featured much higher up the pitch than he usually plays for his club, starting as the left-sided player in an attacking front four for Austria. While he is usually played much deeper in club football, Sabitzer has excelled in this role for his country and has been an important piece in their attacking moves.
Sabitzer finally got his well-deserved first goal of the tournament in the 3-2 victory over the Netherlands in the last game, a phenomenal finish that will give him plenty of confidence in front of goal for the rest of the competition.
Because of that goal and the confidence it will provide, we believe that Sabitzer will show his importance to his country once again by getting on the scoresheet here.

Austria have been one of the best-performing sides in the competition so far, giving France a difficult game on the opening day before picking up impressive victories over Poland and the Netherlands in the remaining two group games.
Those strong performances mean they come into this game against Turkey as strong favourites to advance into the next round, and while Turkey should give them a difficult game, it is expected that Austria will show their quality and take the victory.
