We’re three weeks into the English Premier League season and Manchester City are the only team left with a 100% record, despite only just getting over the line against newly-promoted Sheffield United.
FPL saw some more of the nation’s top players racking up big points, along with some more surprising candidates continuing to surprise.
There’s still time to join the Bet9ja Fantasy Premier League, with more than 20,000 players gunning for 350,000 NGN in prizes each month!
Here is what happened last weekend and what you need to know about the upcoming week of fixtures.
Super Sterling continues to impress
Raheem Sterling has been Chelsea’s best player this season and was back at his best against Luton Town on Friday night.
The England winger scored a massive 19 points last weekend and is quickly building a strong relationship with new man Malo Gusto down Chelsea’s right hand side.
After a tough opening two fixtures, Sterling and FPL players around the world will be looking at Chelsea’s home fixture against Nottingham Forest as an opportunity for him to continue his form.
Rodri leading the way
Rodri has been long considered one of the best midfielders in the world, and continues to chip in with important goals for Manchester City.
Alongside Solly March, who starred in Gameweeks 1 and 2, Rodri leads all players with 26 points after a superb half-volley helped City to victory against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
At a cost of just £5.7m, he has proved excellent value compared to other midfielders who have a fraction of the points so far this season.

Arsenal vs Manchester United
Both Arsenal and Manchester United are yet to hit their best form so far this season, and play each other this Sunday in a massive match that will show us both teams’ potential for the rest of the season.
Last season the two matches between these sides saw nine goals scored and there is no reason to expect anything different this time round – the Red Devils looked fragile defensively against Tottenham Hotspur, Nottingham Forest and Wolves, and Arsenal let their lead slip against Fulham due to some poor marking from a corner.
With the likes of Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford a fixture in many FPL sides this season, expect big points coming out of this game.
A new position for Matty Cash?
Aston Villa’s regular right back Matty Cash was pushed further up the field against Burnley and reaped the rewards from it, scoring twice and combining well with Frenchman Moussa Diaby for Villa.
At just £4.6m and still listed as a defender, selecting Cash could be a clever way of getting more points over the course of the season – especially with Unai Emery’s side scoring so frequently this season.
