The business end of the season is coming into view across Europe, and the title picture is beginning to sharpen in the continent’s top five leagues.
From Arsenal holding their nerve in England to Inter asserting control in Italy and PSG still setting the pace in France, the familiar heavyweights are starting to separate themselves, but pressure is building just about everywhere.
Here’s the current state of play across Europe’s major title races.
Premier League
Arsenal remain in control at the top of the Premier League after a convincing 3-0 home win over Sunderland, powered by a Viktor Gyökeres brace and another assured performance from Mikel Arteta’s side. With 56 points from 25 games, the Gunners continue to set the standard.
Manchester City, though, sent a major reminder that they are far from done. Pep Guardiola’s side produced the weekend’s biggest moment with a dramatic 2-1 win at Liverpool, Bernardo Silva equalising late before Erling Haaland converted a stoppage-time penalty. That victory keeps City firmly in the hunt on 50 points and ensures the title race remains alive.
Manchester United’s resurgence under Michael Carrick also continued with a controlled 2-0 win over Tottenham, making it four straight league victories, while Aston Villa sit third on 47 points, still very much part of the conversation.

La Liga
Barcelona continue to set the pace in Spain after a routine 3-0 win over Mallorca, with Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal and Marc Bernal on the scoresheet. That result takes Barça to 58 points from 23 matches.
Real Madrid remain right on their heels. Carlo Ancelotti’s side picked up a professional 2-0 away win at Valencia thanks to second-half goals from Álvaro Fernández and Kylian Mbappé, leaving them just one point behind the leaders.
Atletico Madrid, however, have slipped further off the pace after a 1-0 home defeat to Real Betis, leaving Ademola Lookman’s side 13 points adrift and needing something special to re-enter the race.

Serie A
Inter Milan are beginning to look like the team to beat in Italy. Simone Inzaghi’s side produced a ruthless display away to Sassuolo, running out 5-0 winners and extending their winning run to five matches.
Behind them, Milan continue to apply pressure after a 3-0 win at Bologna, while Napoli edged Genoa 3-2 despite being reduced to 10 men, sealing the win deep into stoppage time. Juventus showed resilience to come back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Lazio, but dropped points continue to hurt their title ambitions.
Inter now lead the table on 58 points, with Milan, Napoli and Juventus all chasing.
Bundesliga
Bayern Munich responded emphatically after two winless outings, dismantling Hoffenheim 5-1 at home in a dominant performance. Luis Díaz stole the headlines with a hat trick, while Harry Kane also found the net.
Borussia Dortmund kept Bayern honest with a 2-1 win at Wolfsburg, and RB Leipzig edged Cologne 2-1 away, but Bayern remain six points clear at the summit on 54 points, looking increasingly comfortable again.

Ligue 1
Paris Saint-Germain delivered a statement in France’s biggest rivalry, sweeping Marseille aside 5-0 at the Parc des Princes. Ousmane Dembélé scored twice, with further goals from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Kang-In Lee as PSG extended their winning streak to seven games.
Lens continue to keep the pressure on after a 3-1 win over Rennes, sitting just two points behind the leaders, while Lille were held to a goalless draw at Metz. PSG remain top with 51 points, but the gap is far from unassailable.
