The Champions League knockouts always deliver chaos. Hostile atmospheres, long away trips, and knockout pressure create the perfect conditions for shocks – and that is exactly where smart bettors can find huge value.
This week’s play-off ties feature several European heavyweights on the road, including Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid and Juventus. But history shows that first legs, especially away from home, are rarely straightforward.
We have built a massive 45/1 Double Chance accumulator, backing every home side to either win or avoid defeat. If even a few favourites slip, this acca could deliver huge returns.
Here are the six legs.
Galatasaray vs Juventus – Galatasaray or Draw
Few stadiums in world football match the intensity of Galatasaray’s home atmosphere. The Turkish champions have lost just one of their last 11 European home games and have scored in 17 of their last 18.
Victor Osimhen and Mauro Icardi have formed a lethal partnership, while Gala are unbeaten at home domestically this season. Juventus, meanwhile, have struggled badly on the road and have failed to win in Istanbul across three previous visits.
With Juve missing key attackers and Gala in red-hot scoring form, the hosts have a strong chance of avoiding defeat.
Benfica vs Real Madrid – Benfica or Draw
The Estadio da Luz has already witnessed one of the wildest results of this Champions League campaign, when Benfica beat Real Madrid 4-2 in January.
Benfica are extremely well organised under Jose Mourinho, with Nicolas Otamendi leading a defensive unit built to frustrate elite opposition. Real Madrid remain dangerous, especially through Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr, but they arrive without Jude Bellingham and have shown defensive vulnerabilities in transition.
This feels like a tight, tactical first leg where Benfica’s structure and home advantage could be enough to secure at least a draw.

Qarabag vs Newcastle – Qarabag or Draw
Trips to Azerbaijan are notoriously difficult, and Qarabag have built a formidable home record, winning seven of their last nine matches there.
Newcastle’s away form has been inconsistent, with heavy defeats to Manchester City and Liverpool in recent weeks exposing defensive fragility. The long travel distance, hostile conditions and knockout pressure all favour the hosts.
Qarabag have already proven they can compete with England’s elite on home soil, taking a point of Chelsea in November, which makes them excellent value to avoid defeat.
Olympiakos vs Bayer Leverkusen – Olympiakos or Draw
Olympiakos have already beaten Leverkusen 2-0 at home less than a month ago, and the Karaiskakis Stadium remains one of the toughest venues in European football.
The Greek champions thrive in front of their home fans and have caused problems for elite sides, even pushing Real Madrid in a dramatic 4-3 thriller earlier in the competition.
Leverkusen are strong, but knockout away ties in hostile environments are never easy. Olympiakos have already shown they know how to handle this opponent.
Bodo/Glimt vs Inter Milan – Bodo/Glimt or Draw
Bodo/Glimt have built a reputation as giant killers in the Arctic Circle. Manchester City and Atletico Madrid have both suffered defeats there in recent seasons, and the freezing conditions combined with artificial pitch create a unique challenge.
Inter Milan arrive as favourites, but this is their first visit to Bodo, and adapting to the environment is never easy. The Norwegian side’s aggressive pressing and fearless attacking style can unsettle even the strongest teams.
Backing Bodo/Glimt to avoid defeat at home offers huge value.
Club Brugge vs Atletico Madrid – Club Brugge or Draw
Club Brugge have been one of Europe’s most impressive home sides this season, winning five of their last six matches and scoring freely.
This match also has a strong Nigerian storyline, with Raphael Onyedika anchoring Brugge’s midfield and Ademola Lookman expected to lead Atletico’s attack.

However, Atletico’s away form has been unreliable, and Brugge have already taken scalps from major European opposition at home this season. With momentum and home advantage on their side, the Belgian champions have a strong chance of getting a result.
