Freiburg vs Werder Bremen
Freiburg lost all points over the past weekend and will need to return to winning ways.
Keke Topp’s 94th-minute equaliser wasn’t enough to save Horst Steffen’s job as the former Elversberg boss was dismissed following a 10-game winless streak.
This should be a win for Freiburg.
PREDICTION: Freiburg to win either halves at 1.45
Mainz vs Augsburg
Mainz 05 scored late in the first half and early in the second in their most recent Bundesliga fixture, beating RB Leipzig 2-1 away from home in an impressive away victory.
Michael Gregoritsch was the hero for Augsburg last weekend as his 18-minute brace helped seal a 2-1 comeback win against a struggling St. Pauli side on home soil. Fuggerstädter are unbeaten in three league games and are chasing a third straight Bundesliga triumph in gameweek 21.
There should be goals in this game.
PREDICTION: Both teams to score at 1.68
Coventry vs Oxford
Coventry need to return to winning ways after losing away against QPR.
After back-to-back Championship defeats, the Sky Blues are now level on points with second-placed Middlesbrough and only four clear of third-placed Hull.
Oxford United had no answer for the attacking threat of Sheffield United in midweek, conceding twice & losing 3-1.
The U’s have suffered successive losses and are five points adrift from safety as they visit the league leaders.
PREDICTION: Coventry to win at 1.42
Norwich vs Blackburn
Norwich were unable to respond after falling behind to Hayden Hackney’s early goal last weekend, suffering a 1-0 away defeat to second-placed Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.
Blackburn sacked manager Valerien Ismael ahead of Tuesday night’s game against Sheffield Wednesday, with the club mired in a relegation battle.
PREDICTION: Norwich to win either halves at 1.52
Lens vs Rennes
Lens are currently on a phenomenal run of form on their own turf, winning their last nine home games in a row. They’ve lost just once at home all season, and that was their first home match of the campaign.
Rennes have lost just twice in their previous six games away from home, but overall, they’ve failed to win in their last three. They sit in sixth position heading into the weekend, and could climb up to fifth.
The last meeting between the two sides earlier in the season ended in a 0-0 draw.
PREDICTION: Lens to win either halves at 1.40
Real Sociedad vs Elche
Real Sociedad are on a strong run of form in La Liga, unbeaten in their previous six games.
Elche are on a tricky run of form at home, failing to win in their last five games, losing three times during that period. They’ve particularly struggled on the road this season, and they are still searching for their first win away from home.
When the two sides met earlier in the season, they couldn’t be separated with a 1-1 draw.
PREDICTION: Real Sociedad to win either halves at 1.46
Twente vs Heereeveen
Twente return to De Grolsch Veste aiming to turn consistency into momentum as they continue their push toward the European places.
Heerenveen arrive in Enschede positioned tenth on 25 points, still within touching distance of the top half but searching for rhythm.
This fixture pits Twente’s territorial dominance against Heerenveen’s defensive discipline.
PREDICTION: Both teams to score at 1.59
Wolfsburg vs Dortmund
Wolfsburg had no response to Linton Maina’s 29th-minute opener in gameweek 20 as Die Wolfe suffered a narrow away defeat to newly-promoted FC Köln.
Borussia Dortmund weathered the storm against 18th-placed FC Heidenheim last weekend, overcoming a 2-1 deficit to win their fourth straight Bundesliga fixture. After back-to-back games without a win for Bayern Munich, Niko Kovac’s side are back within six points of the league leaders.
PREDICTION: Both teams to score at 1.53
